I sure cannot prove the human spirit is eternal and I don't really find it in the scriptures except in "the wisdom of Solomon" a book that is not in our bible which says "God created man in the image of his own eternity." That certainly is not enough to hold a dogma. The reasons you give for not believing man having an eternal spirit I think are clear and valid. Thanks

Does this ever happen? Shouldn't it say let's go to Chicago and shoot.

I understand your point. It may be correct. It is not the only way to see it. I agree with you about eternal punishment being wrong. I admit it is my personal preference to not accept soul sleep. I may be wrong but on this issue, what differences does it make. Belief in an afterlife that is continuous keeps me going. I am older so I guess I will know soon enough or not.

2Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Your second question I am unable to answer at this time.

I'm not sure about your comments in the throne of David so for now I'll assume you are right. Let me ask you this then. Jesus is in heaven sitting at the right hand of God on the fathers throne now. Why then would he come back to earth to sit on the throne of man? Is that a promotion? I don't think so. So is it possible that his throne now which is high and lifted up, which is untouchable by man is the throne of David. Don't get me wrong, I do believe Jesus will reign on earth again in body but not just for a thousand years but forever and ever. This may not happen until after the judgement. I don't know, just thinking.

A blind man could see this coming.

To be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord. Matthew 22:32 I am the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob. God is not the God of the dead, but if the living. Jesus words. Doesn't that imply Abraham Isaac and Jacob are living. Also in revelations it talks about the martyrs crying out from under the altar for God to avenge them. Not only does God here their prayer but he answers them by telling them to wait a little longer for others to join them

Well thank you for sharing your wonderful insight. I have totally changed my mind. Also the "church fathers "were wrong about a lot of things.

Paying off your mortgage and being debt free is coming out of Babylon. The usury financial system of the globalist Jew is against God's word and sound judgement. You are in a good condition. If I had the choice of being out of debt or having a barn full of food I would choose being out of debt. Debt=manipulation and control. I am trying to pay off my car and a 2000.00 loan.

I think so too. It will be the fall of Babylon and it has to be a bad enough event that everyone recognizes it foe what it is.

I cannot argue with much of what you have said. However I think we are in the final battle now as gog and magog are in battle formation now. I don't put much thought into a future millennium reign. I take a historic view with that prophecy being fulfilled approx 800-1800.

I have been reading your post and agree. After Babylon falls we are told to repay her double. In obadiah 1:18 The house of Jacob shall be a fire and Joseph a flame.... then Micah 4:13 Arise and thresh oh daughter of Zion. And Jeremiah 51:20 Thou are my battle axe and weapon of war... These verses and more that are sprinkled throughout the psalms lead me to think what Sunday Christians are calling the rapture is really the day of the Lord. The resurrected body of Christ is his army, is his battle axe. Two things off the top of my head concern me. Isaiah 13:12 I will make man more rare than fine gold. (Not all men but his men, Israelites or Christians if you prefer. And Isaiah 66 talks about if a man kills an ox it will be as though he killed a man. That is where the left is taking us and Bill Gates is the leading devil on these two sign post. With this understanding verses that say "no weapon formed against us shall prosper" and "A thousand shall fall at thy side and 10,000 at thy right hand." And "10 shall put 100 to flight." And yet best of all "we shall be like him for we shall see him as he is".
