Russia doesn't use the Latin alphabet. They use Cyrillic.

its not a gold rouble, but a gold backed deposit (critically measured in US dollars) of roubles in India, and Rupees in Russia.

the only way russia weathered the sanctions was by closing off their economy. exposing the rouble to fluctuations outside of russian sovereignty or Chinese exposing the yuan to policies outside their controlled economy carries far more risk than reward.
