Just for clarity about what the law does and does not say. From https://digitaldemocracy.calmatters.org/bills/ca_202320240sb1414:
"This bill would make this offense applicable only to a defendant who is 18 years of age or older at the time of the offense. The bill would, if the person solicited was under 16 years of age...make the offense punishable as a wobbler by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than 1 year and a fine not to exceed $10,000 or by imprisonment in the county jail for 16 months or 2 or 3 years. For a 2nd or subsequent offense under those conditions, the bill would require that the offense be punishable as a felony by imprisonment in the county jail for 16 months or 2 or 3 years."
So no punishment if a 17 year old buys an infant repeatedly. No punishment if the child purchased was 16 or 17. Its only a felony if the purchaser gets caught purchasing a child 15 or under a second time. It may be better than existing law, but this is still not good. :(

I am a big proponent of parents having a basket of alternative teaching methods to choose from. Kids are all different and one-size-fits-all education works for very few.
Sounds like your kids had a great childhood. :)
CA messing everything up is a feature, not a flaw.
Ugh. The politics around schools is disgusting. I'm sorry that you are trapped in the politics.
I homeschool, I am lucky because I have a kid with a temperament for it and a living situation that is conducive to it. One of my best friends homeschools her oldest, but her younger one simply needs to be in a structured school environment. We need a wide range of solutions that work for all families (ie learning pods).
How do we make socialism a reality?
Problem: California has done many things to artificially inflate costs, particularly with housing (ie expensive building codes, high taxes, etc), making California unaffordable for most middle class salaries.
Reaction: We need to create affordable housing for teachers as teachers are a necessary part of the work force.
Solution: Government owned housing for teachers. Zero percent turn over because they are terrified to try to find a better job because it will mean they lose the home they are living in.
Thank you. :)
Yup. Laws for thee and not me.
Thank you for the encouragement. :)
To be fair, most illegals don't truly understand what they've gotten themselves into. They've been made a lot of promises and are shocked to find that the reality is very different from the promises. Yes, there are a percentage of crooks coming over the border, but most are just desperate people looking for a better life. Most of them don't want to steal other people's property. Most of them want to do the right thing and buy their own homes. They will be devastated when they find out they were used as pawns by the government so the government can procure properties in a clandestine manner.
They still have to obey the laws that exist. However, it is clear to me that these politicians believe themselves to be above the law. Here is a summary of what I have been personally trying to do to get accountability for our CA politicians/Deep State employees: https://greatawakening.win/p/17txobDPOK/update-the-california-state-sena/
Sigh. Getting accountability for politicians breaking the law is something I have been working on since 2016. I keep trying and hitting walls, and I will keep trying until I succeed. After so many years of walls, I've come to the realization that the only thing that will work is public humiliation and outrage. My latest attempt: https://greatawakening.win/p/17txobDPOK/update-the-california-state-sena/.
The goal is for the illegals to default so the state has to repossess the property. It is a backdoor way of seizing the homes.
That is the long-term goal... CA is counting on this round of illegals to not be able to make the payment when there is an economic downturn (or they get deported by the Feds or want to go back to their own countries, etc). Then, once CA owns the home, they'll let the illegals live there in a government controlled housing set up.
Meanwhile, the short term goal is likely to lower wages for Americans. These are loans with no interest and down payment provided, which means their mortgage payment is lower than an Americans, which means they can take lower wages and survive (at least for a while).
The goal is for the government to own all the property so that we peasants own nothing and are happy. Blackrock is one arm that is aggressively buying property. But they can't openly buy everything, so they've come up with a backdoor way to seize properties -- The goal is for the illegals to default so the state has to repossess the property.

I contacted Lars Larson and The New American on Monday.
Yesterday, I looked up the bills that required 2/3 to pass. One was an 11% additional tax on ammo. Once Wiener's vote is voided, then that new tax has to be voided. I'm going to start contacting the gun groups today.
You can contact me via my website: https://gwsandiego.net/blog/ to talk about medical issues offline.
Yes, you are correct that each group is attacking a different angle. I have heard of Andrew Walen. He is on my "to do" list of people to check out. I've never heard of Johnny Enlow, so I will add him to the "to do" list. Thank you!
I'm sorry to hear about your health issues. I can relate. I have a rare kidney disease, which slows me down a lot. But I won't let it stop me! I hope you figure out how to heal yourself.
Yes, I have gotten information from both of those groups, as well. I wish the common law groups would unite. If they did, they would be a formidable powerhouse that would fix things quickly. I feel like they are kind of like the protestants -- same overarching message and quibbling over tiny details. Since all the groups had a slightly different take, when I wrote my documents, I tried to make sure that I used a format that every group that I'd looked at would agree was correct.
National Liberty Alliance has just filed a lawsuit over restoring the sheriffs and is about to file one for restoring common law courts. The guy who runs it seems to think that we can restore these proper entities by next year. I am praying hard that he's correct!
Bonds for the Win has evolved into the People's Operation Restoration. They are trying hard to recruit people for open seats in the reclaimingtherepublic.org movement. Hopefully, they can get all the seats filled.
Thank you for the suggestion and the kind compliments. :) As I was working on this, I got a lot of info from Bonds for the Win and the new organization that they started, called the Peoples Operation Restoration.
Bonds are absolutely still required by law. From the Notice of Legal Violations (which was the precursor to the Writ of Quo Warranto):
-
Per both Federal and California law, surety bonds are required to be issued on every government employee. This is codified in California Government Code Section 1450 – 1463.
-
CA Gov't Code Section 1460 says: "Every officer with whom official bonds are filed shall carefully keep and preserve the bonds. He shall give certified copies thereof to any person demanding copies, upon being paid the same fees as are allowed by law for certified copies of papers in other cases.”
-
Per CGCS 1455, these surety bonds are supposed to be filed in the Secretary of State’s office (SOS).
However, California and many other states have come up with a "work around" to surety bonds: they self-insure themselves with a blanket policy. I have already tried to file claims on CA's blanket policy: https://gwsandiego.net/blog/?p=2073 It is a fraud. If you make a legitimate claim, they ghost you. There is no way the state of California is going to pay a claim on a behavior that the State encourages its employees to do because it benefits the State.
And this "work-around" was never codified. As cited above, the law still says bonds. Hence, the whole government is illegitimate. But I haven't found any penalties for working without a bond like there are penalties for working without oaths, so I guess no one cares if they follow the bond laws since there is no punishment. I mean, we can try to get them removed from office, but there is no prison or fines or any terrible consequence beyond losing a job.
Thank you so much! I am glad to know that this got more coverage, and covered in some big publications!
First of all, this hasn't passed yet. Just for clarity about what the law does and does not say. From https://digitaldemocracy.calmatters.org/bills/ca_202320240sb1414:
