Yea completely understand where you're coming from, but what does her action gain her constituents? Imo, it hurt the cause more than helped it. The problem with our reps and senators is that they tend to use one trendy thing that they know will help boost their numbers and don't try to focus on the actual root problem at the time.
For example, election integrity is our biggest problem right now. Our congress people can influence election integrity, so why aren't any of them talking about this or trying to put forth bills for this? Until you can solve for election integrity, they will continue to cheat and strip away your rights.
We all have to face the fact that probably every single senator and rep (yes even Hawley, Gaetz, Greene, Boebert) are all in it for attention to some extent. Otherwise, we would see meaningful action from all of them.
For example, why are none of them fighting right now for election integrity now that Xiden is prez? Instead, one of them has been whining about not being able to carry her gun at the Capitol, one is trying to impeach Xiden (cannot overstate how childish and stupid that is and ineffective), a few challenged the election results but since have been quiet. And while I like that Gaetz has been actively calling out the idiocy in the Republican party and hypocrisy of Dems, I'm waiting for real action.
And before we start blaming fellow pedes for not taking action, keep in mind these people were elected to represent US and thus take action for US. Not talk the talk.
I don't think it should be politicized, there are legitmately people who have physical and/or cognitive issues and they do deserve to be able to function in society. A few people in my family are deaf and one of my husband's co-worker's is blind (as a tester in IT). I don't think we should go crazy with accessibility for every issue on everything, but I don't see the problem having a signer so people who are deaf can understand a video, especially the president's even if it is Xiden.
I doubt Boebert knows, she's too new. And she's not good at playing their game by getting in trouble for carrying her firearm. I believe American citizens not serving political office have every right because it's to protect us from government. Our govt officials shouldn't carry firearms, tho, because of that. I'm sure it's an unpopular opinion, but that's my 2 cents for what it's worth.
I mean it's distracting if you don't need a person with sign language. But my guess is it's because of accessibility and they're appealing to that crowd. I work in IT and accessibility is the trendy word (not to down play it, still important).

I worked with an ad company several years ago now that partnered with Lindell. Never got to meet the guy, but our owner (who was a huge fan of Elon Musk) loved the guy. These are business men who still do hand shake deals (which seems crazy to me lol). I remember hearing about Lindell's story back then and it's pretty inspiring (not religious myself but more power to those who find it brings joy and hope to their lives).
To be fair, Xiden being inaugurated does feel pretty final. That's what got me because he is (at least from what we can see) the official commander in chief ?.
BUT, I will concede that Pelosi being pulled aside and told not to talk was a very odd event, not to mention all the other weird symbolism and occurrences for the past months. So you all are convincing me to ride the wave a little longer despite my skepticism.
That's correct, but it has had little impact this far. The Capitol rally was used to label Trump supporters as terrorists and they will continue to be labeled as such. Most of this group I would argue is complacent (including myself, guilty as charged) of "trusting the plan". While I whole heatedly agree with non violence and playing by the rules, I'm not confident it'll win out in the end. Look at the situation India is now in with China knocking on their borders (thanks Ghandi ?).
Most of the wealth of the world, too, is concentrated in the hands of some very bad players who can easily prop up puppet govts and media. Boycotting China (which has way more population let alone services more countries than just the US) will barely make a dent. Not a doomer, it's just reality and historical truth that we've seen played out before Nazi Germany for example did not comply to the rules of war that had been agreed upon and yet the Allies did little to help Poland, Finland, etc. until the fight was laid at their feet).
I would argue that past presidents have been able to hide their crimes and bury them. I mean Biden was VP when his dealings with Ukraine happened and nothing came of it. They're all in the same bed together and scratch each other's backs - media, govt, tech...
I agree to an extent, but using Trump as the example, he had a lot of people working against which is why he couldn't so easily reverse EOs from Obama.
On top of that, it's tough to say what sort of hold we the people have. They control big tech, media, our entire Govt now and military. Even if things were set in motion, it's a tough pill to swallow to see Xiden at the helm.
Finally can't speak for others, but I never thought people were just going to be mass arrested, that would be crazy. I did however think that such photos of Hunter would be enough to put him and his father in jail as average patriots have been rounded up and charged for less by FBI.
The problem with our current situation is disinformation spreads so easily on both sides and, as any good commander would have, no one will know what will happen. With that said, I'll concede that the emergency EO put in place until the 24th makes it all still somewhat legit, however; after that, I think I will need to fully tap out and face reality, whatever it might be.
I had something similar in MN. Had been seeing a few military planes flying south to north usually 2 together during my lunch walk. One that was alone last week was flying pretty low. We've also heard and seen occasional helicopters out in suburbs, not sure if military. The air traffic in our area really only goes east to west, vice versa. Just very strange.
And after that another 10, or 17 or 79 -- pick a number that's special. Don't mean to be so sarcastic, but it's a bit annoying we keep moving the goal posts. I've been duped by Obama, Bernie and now sadly possibly Trump. I'm not very hopeful, but glad all you great folks are - hope you prove the ref of us wrong.
