I teach at a non-religious private school, and I taught this poem to one of my classes a couple weeks ago. This poem was published during the Civil War. In that context, this poem, which I mostly knew as a song, is heartbreaking, but it provides hope that all will be better. It is based on Luke 2:14. This verse varies slightly depending on the version of the Bible you read. The question the poem is forcing us (as a divided nation) to answer is whether all men should have peace. Peace to men of good will or good will toward men. Both these questions were at the heart of our divided nation.
I have an update. Things are improving. The aeration (respiration) in one lung is better, and the alveoli are working better. Medical staff says “slightly” but the change in description seems more than “slightly.” I know doctors are hesitant to provide too much positivity and I know why. Oxygen needs are down from 100% to 70%. Keep praying! ~Libby
I’m sorry! I should have given more insight! Choose any of the vets (Nash, Cleveland, Godfrey), They don’t check. Your horse can be any name you choose. I used my dogs’ names Mr. Ed? Silver? I had to look up horse breeds and average sizes by age.

I am still in favor of horse paste, but the second time I used it for a real C infection, it was harder on my body than the first time. Also, I have a fren who took a full course when he had C and he still ended up in ICU.
There are posts on here about dosing. It is very possible that I overdosed and my fren may have underdosed.
