May these words bring you encouragement for a struggle I empathize with. God tells us to love the sinner not the sin. A tricky balance to be sure and not one we are capable of alone, but with Gods help we can achieve that balance displaying the power of God at work in our lives. For on our own the dynamic is counter to our nature. If we Give our emotions to God, He created them and can master them molecularly. He loved us while we were still sinners, mirroring God’s love helps showcase the value of participating in God’s reality and the appeal there in. Without God’s help it’s not something we can do well, if at all.
I try to remember, God loves them and is happier about their return than my staying true, so for Him I will fight for them as well. For I was once counted among them, and I pray they all may repent. “This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners”—and I am the worst of them all.” 1 Timothy 1:15 NLT
