I would not suggest that friend. I didn't file taxes for a few years and almost got slapped with income tax evasion charge. It would be nice to not have income tax pay. Even the state tax is significant amount. And with sky rocketing property tax it hard to keep up.

I have used SNAP before but only when put of work for a spell. Once I started working again I no longer needed it. I could see at supermarket people with 3 full carts and use SNAP. Thing is the whole family is large and the carts full of junk food and soda. I could never use my SNAP for junk and soda. Without those I ate pretty good. I don't think it was meant to be used the way it is. I remember back when there were requirements. Nowadays not so much.
