Gaetz associate providing feds intel, documents as probe into congressman continues: Sources
As the federal investigation into Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz continues into the summer, sources tell ABC News that Gaetz's one-time wingman has been steadily providing information and handing over potential evidence that could implicate the Florida congressman and others in the sprawling probe.
Former Seminole County tax collector Joel Greenberg, as part of his ongoing cooperation with prosecutors, has provided investigators with years of Venmo and Cash App transactions and thousands of photos and videos, as well as access to personal social media accounts, sources said.
Our wacky tale begins with Matt Gaetz's Florida man friend Greenberg who was a hyperactive idiot criminal involved in many criminal enterprises while working as a tax collector in Florida. Among other things he and Matt Gaetz were going into the state drivers license office to create fake IDs for his underage prostitutes. After his bitcoin mining rig on a state computer set the office on fire he was he was caught and prosecuted by the state of Florida.
One of Florida man's criminal enterprises was trafficking underage girls for prostitution. Greenberg has now pled guilty to this and other charges. He has turned state's evidence and that only happens when you have a bigger fish to give up. Gaetz is obviously one of those fish but definitely not the only one.
The state of Florida shared evidence from Greenberg with the feds related to interstate sex trafficking which led to a number of ongoing federal grand juries. Something on Florida man's hard drive implicates Gaetz and so the next twist is that the FBI tries to blackmail Gaetz's rich dad for $25 million to cover it up in some bizarre extortion scheme involving a missing FBI agent.
This is part of some ongoing scam built around a long dead ex-FBI guy lost in Iran. It is either a pure grift or some way to fund really dirty black ops against Iran that they don't want on the normal balance sheet. Gaetz exposed this scheme, so now he is going to get prosecuted with whatever Greenberg had on Gaetz. Obviously the FBI should be investigated for the extortion attempt but that doesn't get Gaetz off the pedo hook.
A seventeen year old is not $25 million to cover up, so whatever the FBI and Florida prosecutors have is really bad, and Greenberg is now snitching on anyone he can to save himself. Gaetz is a rich brat and daddy's money has bought him a crack legal team, so he will get his day in court, but it doesn't look good. Other Florida residents ended up suicided, of course.
For those who remember the many Republican pedo scandals this all looks like the opening act of a much bigger scandal about to spill out as police interview lots of the girls about what went on and all of Greenberg's customers for underage prostitutes get arrested.
