Similar situation for me. My mother has breast cancer - she’s been having ongoing chemo and treatments for 2 years (I haven’t seen her in 3 years). We live several provinces apart (in Canada). Now at a time I would like to visit her or her me for that matter - she refuses to let me near her unless I and my daughter (her granddaughter) are fully vaxxed- “I just can’t be around anyone that hasn’t been vaccinated, my immune system is compromised, I’m at risk, if I get COVID I’m dead, you’re a fool for not getting the vaccine, the benefits far outweigh the risk,”. On and on… little does she realize the chemo has already compromised her, but there’s no point - I’ve tried neither her or my father will even consider alternate news…sigh…. Maybe I will see her again one day…. Sad for all families in this and similar situations….the brainwashing is so deep.
