Kasich is a fantastic example of the point
Unfortunately presentation is important. Greasy hair sometimes does not inspire confidence in everyone, as much as something like that shouldn't matter.
There's a very good pro/con case to be made that mission critical and high security industries like defense should ban Windows.
My company is in energy services, and some of our systems are subject to NERC CIP compliance standards. No Windows in any area of those platforms, other than the desktops of our operations staff, which are limited in functionality and on a closed internal network.
Satan's black magic is the only explanation for Windows' superiority
VP of Technology here with 25 years experience in custom software development.
Windows' superiority has stemmed from its usability, approachability, price, and open ecosystem.
Linux and other unix variants have only been approachable to the average user in recent years. I'm a techie (albeit not a hardcore one) and I only use Linux in a server capacity. I have ONE member of my 100+ person tech staff who uses Linux on his laptop, and its a dual boot with Windows.
Macs were always a closed ecosystem and could only run on Apple approved hardware. Price point has always been far too high. I still refuse to buy an iPhone.
Windows was all things to all people. Is it the best? Certainly not. But it had multiple avenues of appeal to the average consumer. And as you probably know, procurement decisions are usually not made by techies.
Honest question to mods -- what makes that first one (Fileiro) a shill? The second one for sure...very obviously...but the first one just sounds like an a-hole. I supposed the original post that caused the ban and which prompted that reply is important for context.
VP of Tech here with 20-couple years of SQL Server experience. I still have a SQL Server 2000 book on my shelf.
OP is spot on.
Agree, good point
The intelligence agencies are undoubtedly tapped into all the carriers, so if they want your comms, they'll get it. No matter what phone you use.
Read freedom2520's post. They do not evolve to something more deadly, however the vaccine can make them more deadly.
Like others, your typo plus WakeUpWorld's response gave me a well-needed laugh. It's the little things in life...
All variants? Those tests can't even tell the difference between Covid and the flu. Even the CDC is now admitting it.
It's all bullshit.
To be fair, this is Brain Cates's article. Dave is just hosting it.
"take my money and shut up you donkey"
I'm still laughing at this 30 minutes later. Love it.

"We got funding for the whole state of Michigan The whole state of Michigan, the whole state of Michigan We got funding for the whole state of Michigan Next is O-hi-o..."
Bingo. It's doing that exact thing. Just had an argument with my wife over it yesterday.
Somebody needs to pay for what is happening in our society.
You are correct: COVID is real, and it is worse than your average flu, but it is not an actual pandemic.
Agree that's exactly what this is
It is very hard to aim an AR one handed. A bayonet would be a better close quarters option for you. Just saying...
That's great info, I did not realize that was the case. Thank you!
That's the task I was hoping to save time on. But yeah, absent a list to focus on, that's my next step.
Yes I'm only looking at DO's
100% with you on that. Commies hate us and hate our children, and will do evil nefarious things to introduce chaos into our society to divide us and get what they want.
I'd call you a rocket scientist but I think that would be demeaning to what it means to be an engineer ;-)
