At the end of the day a lot of this has to do with history and traditions. These colleges have been around a long time. I lived in a college town and the school has been around since 1890, went to a lot of games as a kid. There's more pride and fervour in college athletics than professional sports that's for sure. The sad truth is we could do away with all team names, colors, songs, and traditions, go to a Green v Blue with vanilla uniforms no songs or logos or names every Saturday/Sunday. But "progressives" would find an issue with that as well.

I can get behind the demoing of the towers to make them fall. I watched a documentary a loooong time ago and people who got out safety said that there was a lot of construction going on before 9/11. The theory of remote controlled planes I don't buy into. Those people on the planes that hit the towers died, along with flight 93.
