After all, the purpose of brainwashing is to get everyone to conform. The most effective way is through fear and the second most effective is through the coercion from your loved ones. I worked in Canada for a few months in 2017 and I must say that most of the people I worked with were freedom loving folks who were totally dissatisfied with their ruling elites just like us Patriots in the USA.
