I thought they were talking about accidental ingestion by children. Even if what you say has happened I think your reasoning is lacking. Giving children a psychoactive substance would be the problem in that case which is already illegal.

Southeast Michigan has towns where it is decriminalized. Detroit/certain suburbs and Washtenaw County have stores. I haven't been but have perused some of the store websites. I am pretty sure that is hyperbole but point taken. Do not know of anywhere to order shrooms but have not looked.

One LSD trip in particular transformed the world into infinite detail. We looked at a book of psychedelic paintings in the beginning and decided on what the theme of the trip would be. It would be a detail trip. We settled on one of the paintings. As the acid came on the level of detail in this fantastic painting became greater and greater till it was not just art but an evolving, ever deepening mental experience.
In the hallway leaving our suppliers trippy apartment, time and space were heavily altered. Stepping outside and passing through the church yard the immense detail in the trees, grass, architecture and every single thing were far beyond anything I had ever experienced as a veteran tripper all of sixteen years old living on my own with students in a college town. Of course it is not possible to put it into words but I would characterize it as cosmic consciousness, a total departure from everyday reality with a lasting knowingness that has never left.
