Thanks again, Fester π
Great job, Fester - especially the one with the candle π
The Waffle House one is a classic, Fester. Thanks again.
You're killing me, Fester - Smoke on the Water - π
East Tennessee here. Got a dusting, some freezing rain, now that just turned to cold rain. A lot of people are saying it is much ado about nothing.
Yeah, that's one of the best I have seen too π
Excellent, Fester. Buc-ees in Greenland and the Tupperware one - π€£
"Winter of my disco tent" - ππ€£ - great job as usual, Fester. Thanks.
Sorry to hear of Erich von Daniken's passing - read it on an X post this morning. I remember reading Chariots of the Gods a long time ago. He was also featured quite a bit on Ancient Aliens. Whether you agree with his conclusions or not, he was pretty bold when he came out with his theories and observations. It was always fascinating to me. RIP Erich.
You are quite welcome, Fren. :)
Happy New Year to everyone. Haven't been on much lately, lot of stuff going on, but I can always rely on this board for the best information. May your 2026 be prosperous.
Spot in this week, Fester. Always the highlight of Sundays π
Man, this shit keeps getting better and better. Love it.
Thank you, Fren. I knew I was going to get heat but will respect our President to the very.
Wow. I already see ripples forming after the splash in the pond. All this stuff about taking the higher ground, etc. Somehow, I knew there was going to be this type of response to what Trump said. As if they didn't need a reason, all the anti-Trumpers are now fully loaded for bear: "Oh, Trump is a better man, he shouldn't have said that" "Take the high road, we're better than they are" "Trump is a massive piece of shit, etc. etc. etc." Time will tell on this one. Seriously, anyone who was doubting Trump was probably looking for an excuse to bail on him anyway, like so many people have. Melania is probably all over his case right now. Some call it justified due to the hatred that has been shown toward Trump, and others say it was uncalled for, an unforced error. In all of this, something doesn't set well....in the years I have followed and listened to Trump, his speeches and every other thing he said, something is sticking out: was this done for a reason? Is there something more to it? If I have learned anything, I have learned that President Trump doesn't say something or tweet something without a reason. Considering how much of a rollercoaster these past nine years have been, I wouldn't be surprised if we were hit with something completely unexpected:
- Was his account hacked?
- Is there more evil here than we can possibly comprehend? -How is the standard set for taking a moral high ground? After all of this, I can frankly say that I am really not surprised. MAGA [remember, we're all "assholes"] either is going to weather this storm and forgive the man or they're going to jump ship quicker than rats. It's enough to make one's head spin. Fortunately [or unfortunately, depending upon your point of view] I am in the autumn of my life and comparatively speaking, based on the death of recent family members, have about 10-15 years left tops. I really don't care. All I want to see is the children being rescued, people living in harmony, and an end to all animal abuse. What Trump says doesn't affect me directly, but I think he is a good man. I hope I live long enough to see the dawn of a New Republic, which he is fighting for. That's all that really matters to me. Full stop: in the interests of full disclosure, there have been people who have come close to ruining my life and that of my wife, and the last thing I would ever think of is showing them mercy. I don't think about compassion. I think about how angry they made me. All this stuff the good book says about showing compassion towards one's enemy only goes so far, and there is no one here on this board or on this planet who is in a position to lecture me about how I should feel. "Forgive others," they say. Bullshit. Only deities [if you believe in that type of thing] can forgive. You hurt me or put my family in jeopardy, I'm going to hit back, period. In a strange way, I support him and always will, for what it is worth.
Just heard about Rob Reiner this morning. That was a surprise. Interesting to see how this is going to play out in the media considering his rabid anti-Trump sentiments.
Oh man, the call center one cracked me up π
Great job again, Fester - although I have a feeling that the Somali themes are going to go from joke to legitimate anger if they haven't already - it is stunning how far this bullshit has creeped into society.
Watched The Bishop's Wife again last night - it is a tradition my wife and I have celebrated every year. The scene where Cary Grant leads the boys choir is my favorite. I hope I live long enough to see a return to those days.
I heard an old Muslim joke that goes something like this: "What do you tell a woman with two black eyes? Nothing, you done told her twice already." Man, that's pretty powerful, lol - but sadly, it is closer to the truth than some people want to admit.
I never knew that Triscuits are actually wicker furniture. I will never look at patio furniture the same way again π
The one with Heisenberg, Schrodinger and Ohm is the funniest thing I have seen in a long time π
I was wondering how long it was going to take President Trump to say something about MTG, and he did it, of course, in true Trumpian fashion. She became increasingly annoying and now appears to have burned quite a few bridges. Play with fire and you're going to get burned.
Happy Birthday, Brothers. We'll give you a ride anytime [the problem is, we never came and picked you up] :) Semper Fi, Do or Die, and Hoorah!
Thanks again, Fester. The one with the mother wrench feeding her babies is classic π
