The theological crux of the matter centered around the authority of Scripture. Under Preus’s leadership, the conservatives staunchly maintained that the Bible serves as the foundation and guiding principle of the church’s doctrine. They emphasized that the essence of the Christian faith lies in the gospel of Christ, and they argued that Sacred Scripture, rather than human reason, defines the content of this salvific message.
The seminary professors tended to narrow the church’s teaching to just the Gospels; this practice is known as “gospel reductionism.” In this view, the Gospels alone are the standard that determines the church’s doctrine. Consequently, this approach marginalizes the teaching authority of God’s commands toward Christians and disregards certain aspects of the written Word, such as the Bible’s proscription against homosexual relations.
The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod fact-finding committee, however, emphasized the authority of Scripture: “Whatever the text says is the meaning of the text. [That meaning] is to be accepted as such because it is the Word of God. Whether a text should be taken literally or in some other way is determined by the text itself — its grammar, context, etc.”
Alldaychemist works well, but takes a while, 4-6 weeks. No prescriptions necessary for other items. Use paste until the pills come in. Also, once you get on Florida Sharkmans antiviral protocol, buy the big jug of Fenbendazole!! (Valley Vet).
Go here: https://floridasharkman.org/?s=Thyroid This guy has saved my future life many times over. I’m on month 8 of his protocols. His website is tied in with his TS account…
FloridaSharkman - Anti viral Protocol for 2 months, 2 week break, then protocol B until side effects are gone. (Just about everyone should do this by the way). Floridasharkman.org all of the groups research is there, and it all references to truth social posts. Great FSM group on TS too.
Reading the article, it’s actually not a bad article. The quote does make sense in a twisted way…
The question is, how can we as Christians stop ourselves from getting to such a place? A first step can be an honest examination of ourselves and asking questions like:
Do I find myself witnessing more about Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Donald Trump, etc., than I do about Jesus Christ?
Do I feel like the country is doomed more if the wrong people are elected vs. if the nation rejects God and His truth?
Do I view those on the opposing political side as enemies vs. people to be listened to and won for Christ?
Do I enjoy thinking about the defeat of my political opponents?
When I imagine how God’s higher purposes can be accomplished, do my thoughts immediately turn to political parties and politicians?
Are my political views, practically speaking, a key aspect of my identity?
Do I think that God is on my side politically and opposed to those who disagree with me?
If so, you may have already been captured by the enemy in the way Screwtape describes to his disciple: “Once you have made the World an end, and faith as a means, you have almost won your man, and it makes very little difference what kind of worldly end he is pursuing. Provided that meetings, pamphlets, policies, movements, causes, and crusades matter more to him than prayers and sacraments and charity, he is ours.”
