Contrast these benefits to the effects of marijuana — sloth, paranoia, even schizophrenia. Though marijuana is still illegal in six of the 50 states, daily marijuana consumption has outpaced that of daily alcohol consumption. An estimated 40 percent of marijuana users consume daily, a trait more congruent with that of tobacco use than alcohol use, yet there are far greater dangers posed by excessive marijuana consumption, such as cannabis-associated psychosis. Additionally, excess marijuana use is proven to have much more debilitating side effects. It can affect normal brain development, leading to problems in learning, memory, coordination, reaction time, and judgment.

Marijujuana is pagan and degenerate.

Nicotine is based and Christian.

It's also interesting to note that the Book of Enoch claims that it is the demons / fallen angels / watchers that taught women how to use makeup.

And we can also talk about the exploitation that occurs especially in cosmetics / clothing as well as the toxic chemicals that are in the make-up.

“These men [heretics], however, deceive the people by the very Scriptures, that they may receive honors and praises at their hand, and that men may not turn to the truth…And to whom do they sell them, but to the devil? For if the Church be Christ’s sole and only one, who is it that carries off whatever is cut away from it, but that lion that roars and goes about, ‘seeking whom he may devour’ (1 Pet. 5:8)? Woe to them that are cut off from the Church! As for Her, She will remain entire. The Lord has made a scourge of small cords, and is admonishing them [heretics] to change themselves and be no longer traffickers; for if they will not change, they shall at the end hear it said, ‘Bind ye these men’s hands and feet, and cast them forth into outer darkness’ (Matt. 22:13).” - St. Augustine, “Tractate 10 on the Gospel of John” (§8)

You don't even really know where the Bible comes from or how the various NT books were compiled into the canon we have today. *le sigh, gg ez.

I'll just answer for you

350 AD Codex Vaticanus is oldest New Testament having the 27 books of the NT that were general accepted by the Catholic Church's of the Roman Empire.

Series of councils at Rome, Carthage, and Hippo convened by Pope Damasus and Catholic Bishops finalize the list in 382, 393 and 397 AD after vetting and weeding out false books like the Acts of Paul, gnostic gospel of Thomas etc.

The Bible is a Catholic book, it is our gift the world. You're welcome.

Augustine of Hippo. But I would not believe in the Gospel, had not the authority of the Catholic Church already moved me.

You avoid the answer because you already know what it is. And it completely contradicts the protestant narrative.

You're delusional enough to

When was the canon of the New Testament put together? Who filtered through all the books, gospels, and letters floating around and separated the wheat from the chaff, the authentic from the inauthentic?

You don't know the future. He mangled the body of Christ and severed England from it's Mother.

This is a fantasy held by together by silly string.

Henry VIII was banging everything he could get his hands on and wanted a divorce which the Church could not give him because he was lawfully and validly married to Catherine of Aragorn. To fulfill his lustful desires he just made his own church, made himself pope, and gave him a divorce, not dissimilar to what protestants do nowadays which is to make themselves pope and give themselves the authority to interpret scripture. Thus, the serpents prophecy and temptation come to its apotheosis: "you shall be like God, knowing good and evil."

nope nope nope nope nope nope nope, and nope

"scripture" and "alone"

Deuteronomy 4:2. Do not add to what I command you and do not subtract from it, but keep the commands of the Lord your God that I give you.

2 Peter 1:16. For we did not follow cleverly devised stories when we told you about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

don't see "scripture" don't see "alone." lololololool, keep gaslighting yourself.

protestantism is held together by dreams and silly string.

Jesus has greatest authority and Firmilian, Cyprian, Leo, Eusebius, Augustine, and AcesSilver all appeal to it. But out of this grouping, who has greater credibility?

AcesSilver appealing to Bible (2024AD)

VS.

Stephen [I] . . . boasts of the place of his episcopate, and contends that he holds the succession from Peter, on whom the foundations of the Church were laid [Mt 16:18]. . . . [Pope] Stephen . . . announces that he holds by succession the throne of Peter [Firmilian of Caesarea quoted in St. Cyprian’s Letters 74:17 (c. A.D. 255)].

If anyone considers and examines these things, there is no need for a long discussion and arguments. There is easy proof of faith in a short summary of the truth. The Lord says to Peter: “I say to you,” he says, “that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of hell will not overcome it. And to you I will give the keys of the kingdom of heaven . . .” [Mt 16:18–19]. - Cyprian of Carthage, 251AD

Paul testifies that Crescens was sent to Gaul [2 Tm 4:10], but Linus, whom he mentions in the Second Letter to Timothy [2 Tm 4:21] as his companion at Rome, was Peter’s successor in the episcopate of the church there, as has already been shown. Clement also, who was appointed third bishop of the church at Rome, was, as Paul testifies, his co-laborer and fellow soldier [Phil 4:3] [ibid., 3:4:9–10]. - Eusebius of Caesarea, Church History, 312AD

[T]here are many other things that most justly keep me in her bosom. The consent of peoples and nations keeps me in the Church; so does her authority, inaugurated by miracles, nourished by hope, enlarged by love, established by age. The succession of priests keeps me, beginning from the very seat of the apostle Peter, to whom the Lord, after his Resurrection, put in charge of feeding his sheep, down to the present episcopate [of Pope Siricius] [Augustine - Against the Letter of Mani Called “ The Foundation” 4:5 (A.D. 397)].

You're missing the point.

Firmilian, Cyprian, Eusebius, and all the early Christians are doing the EXACT SAME THING YOU ARE DOING (i.e. using scripture to argue a point)

Firmilian + bible (268AD)

Cyprian + bible (251AD)

Eusebius + bible (312AD)

VS.

AcesSliver + bible (2024AD)
