Whoa whoa whoa, I'm not adding a word to Scripture, and I'd kindly ask you to take yours out of my mouth. I said what I said, no more, no less. Take it or leave it.

I look in Scripture for God's ways too, and not just for reference. For example, with Gideon, God took a man with almost zero faith and made him victorious because, though he was shaking and afraid, Gideon did what God said. What that tells me is that God treats everybody the same way. (We're all pretty pathetic in our faith if we're really honest. Pridefulness and jealousy are far too easy.) But God still honours His faithfulness to us the same way He did with Gideon.

So I take that kind of thinking and apply it wherever I can in Scripture. Actually, the Holy Spirit is doing it all, but I want Him to.

That's where my comment came from. Hope it makes sense! I get that I can't go for a verbatim quote to back up what I said, but I do really believe it's God's joy to communicate through His actions just as much as through His Word. They always agree with each other/He is in perfect harmony with Himself.

Jesus told His disciples He speaks in parables to those who don't have the kingdom yet, so it makes sense that He would keep Revelations confusing until the right time. And what is prophecy for if not to warn beforehand and explain events after they happen? It's always about God's glory, so He'll make it make sense when He wants. Just like He did with the Old Testament prophets when Jesus fulfilled everything they said about Him.

From the perspective of the leader of a country, sure, but that approach has never worked to win me friends or respect. It's worthwhile to pay attention to how people feel. It's just stupid to treat those feelings like omens. Doubly so if you're in a leadership role.

I had a total psychotic break in 2015 at the same time as I was finding out about those trumpet sounds. Stupid long story that I won't tell here, but suffice it to say I struggled to make sense of reality for months. I still wonder what makes a trumpet sound like that. Not sure that it means heaven is about to crack open like I used to think, though. ?

I've heard the same thing! Sometimes sirens follow, but nothing ever shows up in the news. And when it happens, it's often twice, about five to ten minutes apart.

They rail against you because they feel threatened. Isn't that something? Those big tough alpha males playing boy scout in the woods took the time to try and make you feel worthless. Something tells me they wouldn't know how to clean a gun. Don't let em get to you, fren. They're just overwhelmed by the idea that a person can accept their own shortcomings without belittling those they see as vulnerable. Some day, they might grow up, too.

Some of us are trying to, at least. You speak up for yourself well, and I think anybody looking for wisdom can see that.
