My husband, whose cynicism I now appreciate more, warned me to grab Trump’s executive orders from the last three days before noon if I wanted them. Thank God I did. I wondered why he issued them if they would only be eradicated the moment Biden stepped in, but they seem strangely military and methodical. Let’s see what happens. If nothing else, they record the good intentions of a good man. ?????????????
I don’t think that Trump has had a whole lot of time to EXPLAIN the teachings of grace vs. good works in public, do you? As I see it, he hoped and asked for grace through the various ministers who often prayed before his meetings. Then he took action. Your other points are well taken.
DJT is not a messiah, nor would he ever claim to be. But if you’re familiar at all with the prophets of the Old Testament, you might see a resemblance. It also comes to mind that the Jews resented and decried their prophets, especially when the prophets called them out and told them the truth about themselves—which they did. A LOT.
I have a problem with videos that have a lot of overwhelming music and jazzed up clips. They may make you feel good, but they also make it hard to think straight. Maybe it’s just me, but after I watch one of these, especially in times of crisis like this one, I always have to separate out what I FEEL from what I THINK. Don’t get me wrong, it’s good to get a lift, especially if I’m feeling down. But somehow they feel like invitations to abandon reason in the moment I think we need it most. DJT has both powerful emotions AND is a POWERFUL THINKER. I guess I look for that now because of him, even in stuff about him, and I’ feel disappointed, even suspicious, when it’s not there. Just my thoughts, and thanks for reading this far.
This site is complicated and nuanced. It took me a month to figure out stuff well enough to avoid wasting people’s time. (Not perfect yet, but oh well). I recommend allowing commenting after a week and posting after a month. Worked for me, but I mostly imposed it on myself to avoid idiocy. Also, SHILLS Want to Comment and post right away. Requiring apprentice time might keep their numbers down, thereby REDUCING MODERATOR’S WORK!
