So nice to find another person in Boston on here! I struggle with the mask thing every time I need to enter a shop. I want to be brave, but it's really difficult in this city, so I avoid the indoors as much as possible. I've had old ladies in the North End scowl at me for walking outside without a mask. I just smile. When I'm outside, I smile the whole time, especially big grins for children. I consider it a public service for these times. I see a few people walking outside maskless. Maybe we should come up with a hand signal. Haha!
We were living in the Baltimore/DC area 17 years ago when this brood emerged. It's creepy and disgusting. Cicada carcasses everywhere, live ones dive-bombing your head, and the constant high-pitched droning that seems to come closer every day as the buggers wake up in waves. Nightmare.
The first part of the podcast is all about President Trump speaking at CPAC and how the MSM will probably blackout the speech. Bongino also mentions political speakeasies, the movie "Eyes Wide Shut", and hidden messages. First time I've listened to Bongino since January 6. Maybe he's talked like this before and I never noticed.
I've been listening to true crime lately. Down the Hill, Truth and Justice, The Apology Line are the most recent. I need to get back to The Young Heretics by Spencer Klavan though. He talks about the great works of Western Culture in a really interesting way.
I'll check out Lore for sure.
Thanks!
