It's funny to see this talking point, knowing that leftists and some liberals are convinced/terrified that Trump is going to win in 2024 if he isn't stopped by the DOJ. The best anyone can do is defend Joe Biden - almost no one likes him. And Trump sent out more COVID checks than Biden did.
Um... They did not "just expose themselves to their base as ineffectual". This has been known for a long time. At least since the disaster for the Dems that was 04. And Obama accomplishing like one and a half listed things. Hell, it's an early seasons Simpson's joke that the slogan for Democrats is "We're incapable of governing!"
The problem a lot of people here don't get in conceptualizing the other side is that liberals buy in hard to the lesser of two evils. The ratchet effect, as it's called by people further to their left. When RINOs don't do anything or fake their fight, people here get mad, and assume the other side has the same reaction. That's just life for a liberal. Liberals have been conditioned to take it, and lose it. Remember how Howard Dean's campaign was derailed for raising his voice?
Liberals want better but think this is the best they deserve.
In truth, he is actually doing a lot of submitting, shutting up, and complying, because he's in jail.
If he's allowed to run again in 24, he will definitely beat Biden, and probably beat Harris. And this is without any big reveals and arrests.
I think nothing will be uncovered, no one will be unveiled and jailed, no corruption or steal will be exposed in any meaningful way... And yet Trump will still win in 2024.

No, this is the only board with reddit-style features I frequent. Sadly, personal boards, be they old-school BBS or new school Digg-style like here, are increasingly the only large-scale internet conversations that can be perused without an account. Time was, Twitter was just a regular .html with microblog posts in a row, and pagination. The feed was there conceptually, but not enforced scrolling like today. Now almost every major social media site will at best allow you to read a handful of posts before blocking you from continuing.

Not going on at all is bad television. It just straight up is, and that's odd, and thus noteworthy. Maybe it signals that there will be a bigger show happening, due to something announced, perhaps, one week prior? Calling something bad entertainment is not inherently prescribing motive.
In all likelihood, if it's taken it'll be Dust Bowl-esque funny money shenanigans over straight up eminent domain ("market" vs "government"), but homeowners need to know both are always possible.
I truly hope nothing like that happens and you can build a base for future generations to grow from.
