Funny that u bring up Judas. I believe Judas was Jesus most devoted follower. Jesus put him in charge of there money and he is one of the most written about followers. Jesus said " Judas u will betray me". Most people thought it was prophecy but I personally think it was an order. Jesus knew none of the others would follow such orders. Judas did it for christ. Now the others were left in the dark about the plan so they write in bible how Judas was betrayer and how he did it for the money. I believe Judas was put in this role to show how gods plan doesn't always make sense to us and how we cant assume anything about anyone because u never know who is actually fulfilling gods will and ur just seeing it from ur own lense.
Except that Judas killed himself.
Depending on what translation u read. Modern take on it says he returned the silver and repented of his sins and then went and hung himself. Older accounts say he returned silver and repented and then left the area. Either way the point of christ was to take away our sins so to ne he was just the first person. And the other disciples talk about him bad because to them jesus was to perfect and good to be put to death. They followed Christ like a God. He was meant to be followed as a man doing Gods will. If God willith then let it be done. Few would follow God even if it goes against everything they think l. This is true faith
yeah, scripture is pretty clear that Judas didn't make it to heaven.
Now, how on earth would scripture know if he made it to heaven or what his relationship with God was?
Because it is the Word of God?
Haha straight truth right here. We all assume what we assume
Can u give any scripture to show?
Ok if u read that whole thing u see that it's the followers getting together and saying a prayer. Its them saying let this man not do what Judas did. I know there is alot of verses talking bad about him but it's all disciples saying stuff they thought
Judas went to where he belongs. The Christians in the following centuries always believed that Judas was in hell.
That makes a lot of sense actually.
Jesus never said, "Judas u will betray me."
Judas was a thief. That is how he is described in the New Testament. To elevate him to some sort of holy guy who did what Jesus wanted is just flat out wrong. The truth is that God gives people opportunities and we make choices. Just like the parable of the weeds, He will allow them to be alongside us and then he will separate us at the end.
My point is the new testament is basically a written story of 4 different peoples view of events. Imagine writing this and ur leader just got put to death and he was perfect in ur eyes. The man that u thought was responsible in ur eyes would be all sorts of negative things. I'm not putting him into a holy guy all I'm saying is God doesn't force anyone to sin. So if God and jesus both knew that jesus would go to the cross. Then he knew someone would betray him and if its pre determined who does it then that takes away from free will. So God needed a faithful servant not a selfish sinner.
"the truly brave thing to do is nothing" - this had puzzled me as well. Certainly not misspoken.
Can't image what hell he went through in order to pass that wisdom to us. He certainly did not mean "biggest risk is to take no risk."
I thought he had a Joe moment.
Except Pence facilitated child sex trafficking in Indiana. Fuck him.
I understand what you are saying. Do you think Pence getting the letter at Bush Sr.'s funeral was part of the "plan" or representative of his traitorous ways?
Only speculation but based on the fact that the only others to receive those envelopes were the bushes, Obama's, and Clinton's, I have to say I think they knew pence was compromised and wanted pence to know that they knew.
I think from that point on, pence was controlled.
Those families received envelopes in a very public way. Just as Pence received his payout in a public way after the certification. There is symbolism and rhythm here. I just don’t know enough details to see it clearly.
We'll see at the tribunals.
He planned two coups, 1 with Paul Ryan, and 1 with rosenstein. He was forced upon Trump by Ryan and rnc, inc. I think Trump was aware of them but I’m more apt to believe he will be flushed by Trump and the storm.
Judas is Judas is Judas- a traitor period the end.
Always love when people power trip with there responses. Look I stand firm in my beliefs because I have spent lot of time trying to see all other ways. U stating what I have told myself countless time, doesn't do anything because I've already played this match in my own head and if I can't beat me then nobody can. I suggest u dive deep into urself and challenge urself more. Then U will stand taller behind ur beliefs rather than rant a rave and say period the end. Because see what I'm doing here my friend, u say it's the end yet the comments r still coming in. And I'm still talking to u about God and Judas knowing u prob dont give me the time of day to truely understand me. But I still love u. Just hoping soon u will come to discussions like this and actually be involved, not just be a shout in the wind
I stand firm in my beliefs as well. My post was not a rant, it was fact. Putting a pretty face on Judas doesn't make him a nice guy. I 100% support your opinion but it isn't mine.
What makes a nice guy. Do u think ur a nice guy? Is there a certain action that makes someone into not a nice person? Can this person repent of there sins and be forgiven or is that only for certain people? Aren't u and I traitors to God. We can inherit his kingdom, he gave us a most precious gift of jesus, he has endless love and patients for us. Yet we constantly r traitors to him by sinning and giving into our desires for temporaeh gains such as money. Jesus even pointed out Peter and said u will disown me 3 times before the rooster crows. He is by many considered to be the most devote follower yet he disowned jesus 3 times. He proved in the tough times he couldn't be counted on to do any and all that was needed.
This is why I feel betrayed by Pence, but I will not condemn him until I see how things play out.
But he didn't 'do nothing' did he? He certified the fraud. If he did nothing he could have punted it back to the states where there was disputes and it wouldn't have been him deciding anything imo.
I also thought it was a very strange thing to say and thought he'd misspoken at the time.
