Ok Ive now seen these photos a few times. I am retired Army - For me this is off.
Deployed to iraq and stuck at a random base or airport while in transit - yes were gonna be on the floor sleeping
New to a deployed setting where there are no options for sleeping - for example the base hasn't been build out, or the unit you are replacing is still occupying the sleeping quarters - yes youll find junior enlisted catching some z like shown above.
Washington DC has a TON of hotels. So why hasn't sleeping arrangements been made yet?
Was this such an impromptu mission that logistics couldn't figure out how to hold some rooms?
Maybe its the "new army" and you can just sleep if you have nothing to do - but not ten years ago- If you are sleeping somewhere, you better not be in anyones way for damn sure.
This is off - I cant think of a good reason youd let Joe crash in the hallway like this. Even if youre running 24 hour ops - or even 24 hour shifts - you wont see this unless theres no sleeping quarters.
I can think of a reason - if they are in a hotel room they are not immediately available for action...
These soldiers are sleeping in the trenches to maintain a security blanket.
If anything happens, they stand up & they are at their post.
in my experience, your either pulling 24 hr duty or 24 hour ops with 12 hr shifts. Regardless, when youre on, youre not sleeping on the floor. You better get in to the sleeping quarters or day room area if youre not at work. Sleeping like this out in the open, has only ever occurred if theres no sleeping quarters. DC has a billion hotels, not to mention the army can do this thing, called setting up tents. In my experience the Army does not like to look sloppy like this and have Soliders sleeping in hallways. Its unprofessional - and makes us look all dicked up. Ive only ever seen it, in an airport or because theres no other sleeping option.
That is understood, though I believe that my point still holds some validity.
They are all available for instant action & they are making a continuous security presence to deter the enemy.
If they were all put up in hotels/tents, it would decrease their readiness/reaction time, provide the enemy with opportunity to counter that does not otherwise exist, & it would inhibit the element of surprise when ops are imminent.

I feel ya, but still maintain that having joe sleeping in the halls doesn't make us look prepared for combat - it makes us look like disorganized fucks - which is why in my seven years Ive never seen this during operations - travel - OK - not during operations
Its the old Army past time of "Sleep wherever you can, whenever you can". Also, Vet pro-tip: Soldiers need to not sleep directly on the tile floor. Put some insulation between so it doesnt suck the heat out of you.
Kinda funny these guys all sprawled out making the DS have to maneuver around them to get to their offices, thinking they are protected, not really knowing that at any moment they'll all stand up and arrest the whole lot of them. lmao
As a retired Marine officer, here’s what I see. I see Junior and Enlisted soldiers who have not been handed any tasking or plan. I watch them millabout aimlessly acouple days ago, and it seemed to me that their leadership has not rolled out anything to them except get on this bus with all your crap and be ready. Which means that the plan is highly compartmentalized right now.

I only got out because I didn't want to be a pawn for the globalist's alchemy of turning lead & blood into gold...
They are active duty serving a mission currently. They will always be fully kitted.
As of laying down, i assume this is the first rest they've got since arriving in DC

I don't know if it's still in effect, but didn't the DC Mayor somehow prevent NG from staying in Hotels earlier last year?
