I propose that psychedelics allow humans to see a glimpse into the realm that we cannot see (and are not yet ready to see) but because of that it opens the door to the evil entities that exist there to come into our minds, thus why God tells us not to engage in those activities.
God told us not to engage in sorcery. While when we think of sorcery we think of wizards and magic, the meaning of that word can also be drug use to engage with spirits....think the “witch’s brew”. God is pretty clear on not engaging in these behaviors. If youre looking for the passage that specifically deals with mushrooms or MDMA then you will always be justified in your own mind. But when you dig into the original language and all the biblical passages that deal with it youll see that these are not something God wants us to do
What level is DMT?
Half joking. The priesthoods of all major religions seem to include all sorts of psychedelic use.
Look up the Greek Eleusinian Mysteries for example.
So, that doesn't make them God's priest. Most have zip to do with the One True God
Lots of spiritually powered oils and ointments were used to anoint people right? Both in the Bible AND culture.
Well that's dabbling in alchemy/shamanism. Ethnobotany.
Maybe the Manna from Heaven was a metaphor for psychedelic mushrooms?
Admittedly, I haven't done my due research. But these things and many others lead me to believe there is something valuable and GOOD about magic.

God never said not to do shrooms.
There is a volume of Christian art with mushrooms in it.
Maybe God WANTS you to use psychedelics.

Moses had a magic wand. He used it to part the red sea. He used it to make water come out of a rock. He used it to manifest the plagues.
Seems a bit like sorcery. I think the subtlety here is in what kind of magic you are tapping into.
