Like, I really hope that the vast majority of people will be able to break out of their brainwashing, but what do we do about the (Likely sizable) portion of the population that just goes into cognitive dissonance mode and reject reality?

I’m not going out of my way to help anyone cope. They gotta come to me. And preferably with an apology for calling me a conspiracy theorist when I tried telling them about pizzagate and spirit cooking. And that one time my sister said that I hurt her deeply (and then wouldn’t talk to me) when I said Michelle obviously has a giant horse dick.
So your going to put your own feelings ahead of everybody elses? I dont see how that helps? please explain.
Your one of the lucky ones and have been given a responsibility now with the knowledge you have, it would be wise to tread softly and with humility.
I think an approach in between is best.
Drop hints, and if the plan fails / doesn't happen you save face and can continue not dealing with them.
If the plan works out and they notice that something connects with your hints, they'll seek you out and hear what you have to say
Good question. I was talking to my brother last night & he said I shouldn’t be surprised if someone comes knocking on my door. Like I’ve lost my mind. All I said was to be prepared with extra food, water, gas, etc., just in case & that Biden won’t be president. He’s a retired Army Sargent. He spent 26 years in the military & always claimed to be a Trump supporter. Now he’s acting like I should be taken out of my house because I believe in my president & my God. So much for that 1st amendment that he protected for 26 years. I swear people are going nuts & it’s not us.
Call all of their problems/issues/complaints all conspiracy theories and tell them that any of their abusers are actually really great people.
Kidding, of course, but it would be funny.

Explain it to them. I've been having boomers who voted for Biden come to me at work wanting to know what is going on. Liberals can be reasoned with. It's the progressives that are a problem
Do good deeds but remember not to over extend yourself to people that embrace victim mentality because they will drain you. Help those that try to help themselves first but make sure your own oxygen mask is securely fastened.
