F you...commie bastards...F you
But what is the truth? Every major religion claims to have ‘The Truth’. The countless spiritualists, self-help gurus, etc. also lay claim to having ‘The Truth’. The theorists also claim to have the ‘The Truth’.
Some of these ‘Truths’ can be assembled into a larger overarching Truth. Still others seemingly contradict every facet of those other ‘Truths’.
I believe it is a "sixth sense" developed from within.
Good Vibrations
Agreed. Much of this stuff sounds crazy but it resonates.
Truth has something to do with putting 99% in hospital. Ignorance bliss.
I think most origin stories, which have many parallels and seem to confirm each other to some degree, have also been subject to manipulation via translation and interpretation driven by a desire to control the masses and limit TRUE understanding of our existence.
Like the Cypher character in The Matrix. I think many of the “other camp” are willfully ignorant. What is coming might shock them back to reality. One can hope... and pray.
Disagree with the premise of this. You can be naively ignorant, or you can be willfully ignorant. I didn't make those phrases up. In fact, the auto suggest on my phone auto suggested "ignorant" after I typed "willfully".
Obviously, naive ignorance is not a character flaw, but willful ignorance is. I guess that's ultimately the point this meme is trying to make.
Truth is something that is irrefutable. Everything else is just information, which can be evidence of truth, but also not. Believing does not equal knowing. One can be told about a thing, and believe it, but can't know the truth of it until they've experienced it directly. Absent that, we have faith.
That's right. That's why "science" is so screwed up. "My truth" is willful ignorance of actual truth. Subjective and ego-centric, and why 90% of the world is functionally delusional.
Ignore-ant, to willingly ignore something you know is true
Great quote. I’m amazed at how angry people get when you question the system. I don’t claim to know what the truth is, I just know I’ve been lied to.
Fun fact: the people who claim you’re a conspiracy theorist and also want the government to control every aspect of your life are also the same people who think the president is a super duper secret agent for the Russians and that the government is evil.
What is that saying- if you don't stand for something- you’ll fall for anything.
That “anything“ is everything MSM feeds them. Most of our society fails to engage in the pursuit of anything that makes them even remotely uncomfortable.
lmao guys, that is almost the definition of ignorant. This quote in itself is sourced in ignorance.
Uh, this picture is wrong, sadly. Not knowing something is the definition of ignorance. There's a difference between normal ignorance and willful ignorance. Ignorance isn't inherently bad. Willful ignorance is.
Great meme! Wake up!!!
I love our First Amendment! Look at the conversation going on here! I have learned from all of you.....peace
Not to be a stickler, but definitions are what give us the ability to meaningfully communicate across time and space.
-- ignorance: Lack of education or knowledge. Unaware or uninformed.
Not knowing something makes you ignorant of that thing. Ignorant is NOT A BAD WORD. I use it all the time. I am IGNORANT all the time. It has no negative connotations in its definition. When I say, "I am ignorant on that topic," it means I don't know anything about it, and I say that all the time.
It would be more appropriate to replace the word "Ignorant" with "stupid," "obtuse," or "foolish." I like the last one for this meme. Stupid is too offensive and will prevent an audience from listening, obtuse can be misinterpreted, but no one wants to be foolish.
I disagree.
ignorant
Not knowing does make you ignorant. Not wanting to know makes you willfully ignorant.
That's the difference there. Whether you're just ignorant, or wilfully so.
