Not clips, mags. But they always have to have positive control of their weapons. They will only have live rounds when contact is imminent or they are directly on guard duty that has the potential to need live rounds.

It’s funny you mention this. But remember that video that came out from Texas? The armed troops going through the truck stop. I got this strange feeling they weren’t US troops but Chinese troops. I have no idea why. But it freaked me out. I almost posted about it then didn’t because there was no reason for me to think that.

Picture on the right: agreed, and unusual. Pic on the left, not so much. I guess the danger is the "little green men" strategy that Russia used in Ukraine / Crimea. If people have to travel in and out, the ID checks will be useful. If they rush the White House, the fencing to lock them in seems appropriate. I had thought of troops being invited in, not troops sprouting up from within, but it's plausible. And makes the mobilized numbers more sensible. I guess. Something to consider.
