PG & E's new CEO, Poppy, (https://www.bizjournals.com/sanfrancisco/news/2020/11/18/pg-e-announces-appointment-of-new-ceo.html) left Consumers Energy, a Midwestern utility located in Michigan. Poppy was well known at CEC for championing progressive causes and multiculturalism. As an anecdote "CEC will not longer be in the business of energy production by 2030, as the last of it's aging fleet of coal power stations will have been decommissioned."
No joke... the wind is blowing and CA cant figure out how to keep their power on and fires out. The infrastructure is so bad here that if the wind blows, they shut off the power.
Wouldn’t read much into this currently working in the utility industry and major winds have shut power off. I’ll let you guys know if there is anything weird
High winds
Winds of change, I pray.
N. Californian here. There are high winds, so outages would not be out of the norm.
PG & E sucks almost as bad as our CCP-controlled Governor and his ilk.

I think some wildfires ripping through homes is to blame.

Yup, windstorms. WA and Idaho had them last week. We had 10 trees fall on our cabin.
It’s commifornia.....blackouts are normal
This is also true.
As others have said, heavy winds all over CA right now.
A lot of planned power outages due to wind. Wild fire risk if a power line goes down while live.
Super windy
My internet hasn’t worked for the past 2 days. I have also noticed that a lot of the videos are getting taken down or won’t open.
Happens every time it's windy in many areas.
