Must be closer to BA or Glenpool than I am perhaps. Pretty sure it wasn't imagined as all household occupants heard the booms last night. But, no news today.
I believe so, I don't remember where she was in the air force at or if she's still living there, but she mentioned in her post being off of Black Tom/Galliard
Former lurker here. Had to make an account just to say I'm in NC, and I heard a couple of booms around that same time. After I thought I heard one, muted my TV and heard a second one a couple minutes later. It's not uncommon to hear fireworks from time to time, but those were no fireworks I've ever played with.
There's a minimum age to hear a sonic boom..? ? haha, but in all seriousness I've never heard one in person at least. So that very well could be possibility.
Side note: I'm old enough to be called an 'old head' by the neighborhood kids. Never would've thought your 30's would be considered old.?♂️
During the early to mid 70s the Communists were concerned about our air superiority. The F-15 in particular scared them. They worked with their leftists traitors here to have supersonic flight over the continental US baned except under special circumstances. This had the side effect of killing the Concord that the leftists hated. Btw, the leftists have always hated unrestricted air travel for average citizens.
In my youth, it was not uncommon to hear sonic booms.
Oooooohhhh snappppp!!! Keep us updated.

I was just about to turn your room into my den...you're back already!
Welcome back ?
Could be Spec Ops blowing up DUMBs... I’ve heard that’s happening across the nation.
That one crossed my mind also as there may be one near us.
My cousin posted on Facebook that she also heard some loud booms.
Middle America?
Where in Oklahoma. I just moved here a year ago after getting out of the military.
NE.
Gotcha. I’m more in the middle now. Lol.
I’m in Tulsa. didn’t hear anything?
Hmmm. How old are you? (<grin>)

I heard some out smoking in CO just moments ago. But you can hear the fort carson artillery drills from like a hundred miles away

Are you old enough to have heard sonic booms? I have a feeling that might be the cause. I hope someone manages to capture some audio.

That's funny. Gonna use it on a comment above. You inspired me.

Yeppers. I'm pretty old and have heard them.
Thanks for logging your booms here. It's just interesting to me for some reason.
What state West Coast? I’m in WA and didn’t hear anything yesterday.
What did it sound like? I haven’t heard anything about it.
Small cannon. Or M80 Firecracker. Somewhat muffled.
Strange
Yep, but maybe not. There's a gun range not far from us. Could be from it, but don't typically hear booms from there.
It was unique enough to just document for just in case it turns out to be significant.
9:08 = 9 + 8 = 17!
Maybe sonic booms, but loud enough to get us out of our chairs to investigate.
