That’s true, his comment seems purposefully ambiguous. I posted in another thread that I am ethnically Asian and have lived in Southeast Asia for a significant number of years. I think the Philippines’ Foreign Secretary has the correct take on this situation:
”Foreign secretary Teodoro Locsín Jr. compared the situation to a chess move instead of a coup, stating that the CIC respects the 2008 constitution on military role. Locsín also stated not to depend on a "western narrative" when reacting to the situation in Myanmar.”
Hmm. There’s someone else we know quite well who has made frequent comparisons to a game of chess, isn’t there? ?
By the way, Locsin was the same person who was captured on video cursing out a representative of Smartmatic upon discovering that the machines were not as secure as he and other members of the Philippines’ legislature had been led to believe: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KEnV6TtM2sg&feature=youtu.be
"I hope that the administration will take real action in response" - yeah I think the administration, military or otherwise, definitely is taking action.
Noting also the little smirks each time she asked a question about Byedin...
When you consider the release that went out regarding their election, this seems a bit off. With all of the links between Myanmar and the globalists, you would think that the Chinese would favor the government that was fraudulently installed. Maybe Mike is trying to agitate China and place the blame of the coup on them (rather than focus on the real issue - a fraudulent election). Very interested to see how this plays out. I don’t love Mike’s view on this when you consider the parallels with our election. One last thought. Is this in the interest of optics and appearing neutral? “If Mike Pompeo doesn’t believe the Myanmar coup was appropriate, he couldn’t have possibly been behind the U.S. military takeover.”
Maybe he is trying to make people look into it. all the real news around this is people were unhappy./ Genocide might have occurred. Then the person was elected using know to be corrupt voting machines. Smaller countries can correct this faster then larger ones.
he could be trying to get them to position fleets in that area for optics, makes it faster and easier to hit china if the fleets and troops are only min-hrs away instead of days away from readiness......MAYBE, dunno though
always stay on your toes just in case, but may i point out, Assange said more than once he didnt want a pardon because it was, in a way, an admission of guilt and he said he never did anything wrong or illegal, so again, i dont know, but looking at it as a movie with really good actors, it might make sense
big difference between us projecting force upon others and defending ourselves. if Myanmar had fraudulent elections and this is the result, we should not be involved. demonrats need to work 100 times harder at maintaining peace since they destroyed Trumps reputation and he started no wars through his term.
I don't understand why this military coup in Myanmar is such a big thing.
Myanmar has been a military dictatorship for decades. It only became a country "sort of" ruled by a civilian democracy in 2011... mostly kind-of. Face it... Myanmar has always been ruled by their military, even if only from behind the scenes while they put on a false front.
During the Clinton and Bush years, Myanmar was ostracized from the world. Trade, travel and diplomatic relations were extremely limited because of their reputation and brutality against their own people. In the Obama years, Myanmar learned that they can FOOL the world by pretending to become a democracy. Obama helped them with that false face. The world leaders bought it (or pretended to) and everyone enjoyed the fake act.
The civilian "democracy" actually started to think THEY ran the country and that they had any sort of power. The military had to step in and squash that like a bug. Now... after the purge (and there will be one)... a new "democracy" will come into power, ruled exclusively by the military. The leaders will simply be puppets.
My theory: might not be liked but, hear me out, we actually don’t want the military to “step in” and take over. Our military is there to protect us. They are the ONLY entity we have that it completely unbiased. They protect the Constitution and the American People while following the command of the President of the US. I think our military is on the right side but the military has changed over the years. Not everyone in the military is a Republican or Trump fan. A “military coup” would fracture the system. There are still a significant amount of Active Duty that don’t know what’s actually going on and have also been brainwashed. I see it shifting but it’s no where near where a lot of people are at yet. If a military coup was to take place it would weaken our military and then we would be way worse off then we were before this.
Trump has literally placed everything on the board for us to succeed without the military stepping in and just arresting everyone and doing a military coup. We have over 200 new federal judges, and multiple lawsuits pending. Watch the courts that’s where this is going to start falling. Now once it’s all situated they might have to step in but I guarantee the won’t step in until most if not all the legal avenues have been exhausted.
Julian Assange is safer in the custody of a different country. That is why he wasn’t pardoned. The SC ruled awhile back that Wikileaks can be used as evidence. They need to protect him until the time is right.
EDIT ADD: The main portion of the military has no idea what’s going on right now. There hasn’t been any corespondents. They are literally business as usual. With the exception people are talking about it more frequently. You are not allowed to really talk politics while at work but that tight lip feeling is def starting to deteriorate. Trust me they are def not happy about the state of things either. But until it’s legal proven to the masses then they are completely neutral.
The coup could have been done by that Suu lady. Wanting to keep power. The military might have just monitored the machines. If an investigation is done we might learn something..
What do we Know about the government that was ousted-Full on Globalist Controlled and installed Same as Biden with Dominion/Smartmatic systems with puppet leader under the tutelage of Soros, Hillary and Obama. So Why would China want to upset fellow global swamp family?
That's very true. There's two conclusions to draw from this.
It'd be advantageous for Trump et al, for Biden to "do something" only for it to be "something" that would put his foot in his own ass. Condemning Myanmar for a military coup would bring to the surface the mirror of the US's situation.
Or
The US and Myanmar's situation are not the same and their military leaders do pose a threat to some people and situations. Like it isn't ideal that they have so much power, tbh. Though Aung San Suu Kyi is not someone to go to bat for, it's still not great that civilian government can't find its feet there.
I don’t think so. Pompeo’s statement seems intentionally ambiguous - as someone else noted, he said “in regards to” the military coup, not “against” it. I personally believe he is a white hat through and through. It’s worth noting that this is what the Philippines’ Foreign Secretary has to say about the situation in Myanmar:
”Foreign secretary Teodoro Locsín Jr. compared the situation to a chess move instead of a coup, stating that the CIC respects the 2008 constitution on military role. Locsín also stated not to depend on a "western narrative" when reacting to the situation in Myanmar.”
Locsin’s Wikipedia article also has a picture of him meeting with Pompeo in February 2019. And Locsin is the same guy who was captured on video cursing out a representative of Smartmatic upon discovering that their voting machines were not as secure as he had been led to believe: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=KEnV6TtM2sg&feature=youtu.be

The punchline being.
Biden can’t order the military to do shit.
Because he isn’t the president:
He said take real action in "regards" to military coup...not against. Maybe what he's getting at is stopping China from advancing Burma.

Would it have been better for him to come out a praise this "coup?" Seems like a lot is going on, time will tell
yes. We can only speculate from a video of a dancer at this point. All we know is they used the same voting machines.
the coup could've been done by china
I dont know... its not like he can go on and say like 'yay military take over woooooo!" Optics and all that shit....
agreed he is also not in office anymore.
So are we supposed to be for against this military take over of a corrupt election?
Yes. Let their investigation come out as news. Then we make a decision. This must be a stab at the pretendresident.
this is a big NO. run head first right into the first opportunity to get us involved in a war? whose sons will be fighting it? NO
We may end up in a war against China, let's be totally honest.
It's not pretty, but the alternative is our country being held hostage by them
big difference between us projecting force upon others and defending ourselves. if Myanmar had fraudulent elections and this is the result, we should not be involved. demonrats need to work 100 times harder at maintaining peace since they destroyed Trumps reputation and he started no wars through his term.
I agree, I just want to make sure that people are prepared. China is currently holding this country hostage and that is unacceptable.
We definitely need to multiply some force at them

They protect the Constitution and the American People while following the command of the President of the US.
Well, then, they failed on November 3, 2020. An act of war was committed...did we surrender?
Was he implying that the military "coup" there was really CCP infiltration???

I don't know what people want/expect?
It isn't as simple as good and bad in this case. It isn't the same as the situation in the US.
I really don't know why people can't grasp this. Is it because it's what you want to see/hear, that you block out the nuances?
Some people want biden to do something. Some people want him to say something about it. I hope he addresses the machines they used..
That's very true. There's two conclusions to draw from this.

Pompeo showing his true colors
