Q
Is this about banning people who use the N word? I really don't see why that's controversial. We represent a movement. The eyes of the global press are on us. Anyone using the N word is either irresponsible/unthinking to the point of being a liability or is a shill trying to frame us.
One word. Ignores every other racial slur. That word doesn't even pop up very often, and when it does it has been deleted before most people see it.
It's already a rule. It didn't need a stickied thread. It didn't need the "I don't care" attitude. It didn't need the leftist tactic of "you defend this naughty speech so therefore you're in favor of this naughty speech, everyone get them!"
Our side has been leveraged by our good nature far too long with tactics like this, period, and we are at the point where that dam is about to burst.
The leftist propaganda machine has been calling us racist, sexist and every-phobe that they can invent without proof. They literally invent their own proof.
Like when Reddit invented a narrative using a small number of shills that the only people supporting cops at the time were threatening cops in order to create an excuse to ban The Donald.
It literally doesn't matter what they say because they'll say it anyway.
Get this through your skull: We are done conforming to them and their hypocritical double standards.
It's already against the rules to post blatantly racist shit. Everyone knows it is. The rules are right there. It didn't need a sticky that ONE WORD IN PARTICULAR is more out of bounds than every other racial slur in the book.
Go read that post and set the comments from "top". No one here is actively using the N word and to pretend they are is to create a divisive problem out of smoke to derail our movement.
Although I haven't personally seen anyone here use the N word, I get why lifetime bans are being handed out for using it. It's the most divisive thing you can say in America, any screenshot of any shill using it could be used to smear our movement. Racial division is the opposite of what Q stands for. With all the journalists trying to smear us, taking a hardline on the most racially charged word in our language makes sense.
3 days into modhood pushing perma bans for something that wasn't happening isn't about protecting the integrity of our community, it's about abusing his power with "permission".
u/catsfiveu/Son_of_Honkler Most people seem to see it but this situation is striking me as one where Uhtred has alts or well meaning newbies backing him up.
Yes. People should be able to use naughty, Constitutionally protected language.
Yes, moderation against those is fine -- but it singled out one word, and only one word, his attitude was horse shit leftist tier (and so was yours) and it was far from the best way to do it.
What's better: A gentle reminder of the rules stickied while saying that there has been an uptick in rule breaking content, or specifically choosing one word that is a no no to a group of hardcore Constitutionalists?
It should've been a gentle reminder of the rules -- all of them -- and the mod should have had a better attitude. They failed everyone here, and narrowly hammered in one word is being a no-no and it's the same word the left has been simultaneously using nonstop and telling people they can't say.
It's really bad and has now completely tainted the discussion.
I have been told that you can't be racist against whites no matter what slur you use against us, but whites can't dare say a word everyone else seemingly can.
I don't like the word and never have but that mod fucked the movement hard by doing this.
There were so many better ways of doing this, and his responses in that thread were off the rails.
I didn't go to Voat after a certain point because of the lack of moderation -- so I do definitely want moderation where it makes sense, and I do believe that the word should get you time outs.
Just created a massive storm out of nothing and I can't respect people who don't see just how badly this was handled.
If anyone are autists, they can even search my (extensive) post history on here and The Donald.
I have never used the N word, and never used the adjacents outside of like, actual use of the word. E.g. wouldn't use "jogger" or "rigger" to try and skirt bans.
Moderation is better than the alternative (Voat) but this incident has created massive division and cost a lot of respect for the mods.
It didn't need to be said because it was already a rule and it's not the only racial slur that gets thrown around, but as usually that's the only one they target.
u/catsfiveu/Son_of_Honkler we have not had any real problems outside of endless shill waves from the moment they shut down voat until now, remember, we dropped our voat filtration system for you and that was the only real way to avert the shills, ugly as it was.
Then maybe DON'T FUCKING MAKE THREADS TO DIVIDE US AND STICKY THEM
Precisely. Which is why the problem has seemed non existant except for when this new mod brought it up as a reason to start perma banning people.
This guy is making a power move. u/catsfive u/Son_of_Honkler

Dude.
Are you serious? I can't take you seriously.

If you are worried about that then you are lost to the leftist propaganda machine and no one can help you

u/catsfive u/Son_Of_Honkler Honkler I'm tagging you in all these to act as a canary.

Actually I just argued all night with multiple people who think they should be allowed to use the N word.

The answer should be super easy.
I disagree with the sticky, created unneeded conflict. I agree with the concept, no racial slurs. What say you to this?
That's fine.
It should've been a gentle reminder of the rules -- all of them -- and the mod should have had a better attitude. They failed everyone here, and narrowly hammered in one word is being a no-no and it's the same word the left has been simultaneously using nonstop and telling people they can't say.

We're pretty much in agreement then. My beef is just with the crowd that thinks there should be no moderation.

Having mods when we are constitutionalists is redundant hypocrisy. They wanna know what it's like to work for twitter lol

Yes ::: Shill Mod.. The absolute denial of ChemTrails/ Geo Engineering:Weather Modification = - Confirms..
Stop your bitching, nobody sincere to this movement thinks this is an issue.
Grow up and/or stop shilling.
If you don't understand the nuance between free speech and being respectful to the community's agreed-upon rules, maybe you're in the wrong place.
The comments in that thread disagree with you.
That's not what this is about. Try again. I'm saying the problem is non existant here except for the time our friend Uhtred brought it up.
I support you in this Roland. I honestly don't understand people who feel otherwise, I think most are shills trying to divide us.
