100%-- He was the OG. A man's man. They truly hated him for kicking that ass in New Orleans and sending the Brits packing. They knew the dream of a centralized banking system was dead in the water for long time.
Absolutely....and have you noticed this happening-- every now and then I hear something factually wrong and I'll say something like.... "actually, there haven't been 2 Presidential assassinations, there have been 7 and attempts to assassinate 2 more Presidents failed." and the person I'm talking to will get wide eyed and say REALLY?? I didn't know!! What the hell has been going on??? and then I explain 180 years worth of deep state bullshit.
I collected the info from a bunch of sources-- I was really just trying to learn about him so I started with the info on wikipedia, which led to me seeing that he lived in London for years..."the city of london" actually. So I dug in and read articles about the rape of belgium scandal, I read some material on Harding about his being poisoned and lo and behold Hoover pops up as actually being there....then when I went to investigate gold derivatives...there he is again. This went on for about 10 days. Every time I went to dig into something nefarious....there's good ole Bert Hoover.
I think most telling of all though is his memoirs--- he apologized for destroying America basically. I mean it's just bizarre that he even admitted to it.
I haven't looked in to Truman. He's on my list though.
I think Truman was honest but naive or dumb. He didn't end up rich but he sure didn't do us any good in the Whitehouse. Let me know what you find out and if you disagree.
Do you know of any good BASED history books I can read that covers Jackson’s presidency? It is hard to find history books that aren’t straight bullshit.
When president, he was attacked by a gunman. It misfired and Jackson immediately charged the man with his cane and took him out. There was at least one other misfire in the history that I read. Gotta hand it to Ol' Hickory.
President Andrew Jackson was my great great great....Grandfather several generations back on my Mom's side. My Great Grandmother was Anna Routh Jackson. A Patriot's blood I proudly carry.
Shut the Front Door!!!!! I've been to his house at Hermitage. His story is truly amazing! He was Legendary and he will not be forgotten. We've got to do something about him being blamed for the trail of tears though.
He is without a doubt one of my most favorite Historical figures and Presidents. How is Anna Routh related to the President? I didn't think he or Rachel had biological children?
Yes, he has gotten a bad rap! Like someone else we know!
I have a genealogy report that my late grandfather created on our family history, but unfortunately I don't have it with me here in FL where I spend the winter. I do remember hearing this genetic history as a child and then just prior to my 100 year old grandmother's passing last February, everyone in the family received a copy of the report.
History is so important and yet so many would like to distort it or erase it altogether.
It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance and I am proud to say that had I been able to vote in 1828 and 1832 , I would have voted for him, the reformer, the hero.
Anytime! One of my favorite stories is the battle of New Orleans. It looked like an impossible win for him and the pressure was on to save the U.S.A. He was outnumbered and outgunned. But the French still HATED the British and especially french pirates so Jean Lafitte teamed up with A.J. and brought 1,000 pirate friends to New Orleans. The rest is history :)
Love it! You can't keep the "good guys" down...no matter what the odds!
Always loved history in school, but realizing that I had to be older and experience these times we live in to truly understand "history" and it's relevance to these modern times!
DS did the same thing to him they did to Trump. Called his wife a slut, called him crude and unsophisticated, questioned his sanity, etc.......

YES and the poor fool that shot Ferdinand and started WWI
Truly sad.
Behind the Bolcheviks, then.
Behind the Bolcheviks, now?
Where is a good source for this history? I would genuinely read that book or books.

lol
they put him on the paper fiat central banker $20 bill to mock his legacy
What was the real story of the trail of tears?

Thanks in advance for your recommendations.
Thanks a lot dude, I appreciate it!

What was fake news about the trail of tears?

Sweet! Cool to discover these connections.

You as well...and I would have voted for him too! :)
You are piquing my interest in reading up on Andrew J with what you have shared on here. Thank you.

Never underestimate the will of free people!
Jackson was a fucking beast.
Nice!
MESSATSU!!!
Looks like there is nothing new under the sun!
No wonder they call him a racist.
The fear of god had more power back then.
