What is the best ways to report a website for illegal content? I came across some sites that involve children and they need to be reported!!! I googled what to do but dont trust google and not sure if I should trust the websites it provides to report the matter

If you report things like this to the local police in America they will then file a report with a national database run by the FBI/DOJ. They will subpoena the records for the IP address and figure out where the server is physically located. If its in the US then they will pass that info to the local task force. If its over seas then they will send the info to that country. The truth is in many overseas countries they won't do much about it. Here in the USA they will only do something if the target isn't protected by the cabal. If they are then the report will end up in a drawer for 10 years etc.
Basically in the USA the difference between reporting it locally and directly to the FBI is minimal. However make DAM sure you clear your browser cache etc. Don't think for one millisecond they won't try to arrest you for downloading what you reported on. I'm completely serious. Police these days are bat-shit crazy.

If it’s actual pedo content... I would make a report with my local police department. I’d do this to cover my ass, but their task force would know what to do with the information.
Of course, there wouldn’t be anything about my ass that would make them question my motive for reporting it. I’ve read articles of pedos who reported they innocently came across pedo shit (probably thought they were on verge of getting caught), but actually ended up basically turning themselves in, lol.
The only correct answer is the one below - local police dept as CYA and then purge everything off your device.

I understand this evil exists and has existed. I understand that there is far more out there that is worse, plus some. But having come across it and dont feel like I should sit silent. I get that if I report it then it either falls flat or the site gets taken down and a new one pops up. Just doesnt sit right with me to take no actions.
or they threaten you and your family unless you play their game which could for example involve you agreeing to act as an informant for them. they'll scare you and claim you could easily be found guilty of pedo stuff and your entire life will be ruined at min and at worst you'll also end up serving time and be a social pariah on registered sex offender list
i would be very careful if you go fbi route. if you can do research and have a nearby sheriff that's a proven conservative he might be your best bet imho
