Natural gas seems to be the way to go. I was just reading about how Bill Gates wants to erase basically all the steel and concrete production too since it produces so many harmful emissions.
He apparently felt so bad about it all that he sold his stocks in oil and natural gas in 2019 to cope. He said, "I don’t want to profit if their stock prices go up because we don’t develop zero-carbon alternatives...I’d feel bad if I benefited from a delay in getting to zero.”
Wait until it comes out that Tesla actually got electricity from the air and all this solar energy is ok for the deep south except that snow in the north will shut it down.
What this illustrates is the need to diversify our power grid and implement more local storage, including batteries. As soon as I can afford it, I'm getting solar panels AND storage batteries, and I'm actually more interested in the batteries than the solar!
