From what I understand, lots of Gen Zs saw how Millennials are and don't want to be like them, so their 'counter culture' is being based.
this is a great point, Take Kyle Rittenhouse, for him to be involved in scouts and volunteering with law enforcement and being dead nuts with an AR is as counter-culture as a kid with a mowhawk and safety pins in his face getting off to a good heroin addiction was in the 80s

I think if tiktok could control it they would....but they can't. There is a segment of youth-- (all of my children fit in this age group, 18, 16, 14, 13) that question everything-- seem to be very independent, and have a lot of fun ridiculing the sheep. This group is the most diverse you'll ever see in terms of race, sexual orientation, religion, etc...
When any one of them has a group of friends over, the discussions are witty, informed, and particularly patriotic. It brings tears of joy to my eyes.

My girlfriend uses tiktok and she showed me multiple videos of people calling out Biden on his lies, these kids had to have been 18-21 I have a feeling people are waking up way more than we think!!

No, tiktok isn't based but it's one of the few places that's not heavily censored. Also, it only allows short videos, so it's like Twitter when twitter was growing, but for vids.
It might be that tiktok is newer and therefore the least censored social media platform for conservatives because they haven’t begun deboosting
