Right, so if they were prepping food for 4000 people but only 200 showed up to eat that drives that price up.in that scenario they were paying 80000 a day for food. So wasteful!

If improving those scores is what the school wants there's a myriad of programs and support out there. It all takes a lot of work on everyone's part though, and changing the status quo means upsetting veteran teachers and entrenched administrators. It takes leadership and a clear vision to change a culture that is ok with mediocre results.

I guarantee there are teachers there that want to do better, but I equally guarantee there are teachers there that see no need to change, and will resist any efforts.

It can be done through, people just have to want it. There's a book called "Beyond Reform" that details how one small school district did it. It started with the superintendent going out into the community and asking employers, parents and colleges what are the skills and traits that a graduate from our school should have? And then they worked backwards from there. Its taken them about 10 years but they went from about 10% passing reading tests to about 70%, the average for schools around here is 50% and they are working hard to get that percent higher. Math scores went from about 8% passing to about 45%, the average for the area is 42% and when I was there they were targeting that to get that number up.

I used to work for an architect that only did schools and other public works projects. The amount of red tape needed for public works projects drives up the cost considerably. Also, at least around here, only union contractors were allowed to bid jobs. Prices for stuff reliably ran 50-100% more than private sector.

Add to that if anything comes up that was unexpected in the project then the contractor gets to charge another 75% markup for having to change their bid. I once heard about a toilet that needed to be moved about 5 ft. After plans had been bid but before ground had been broken. This change cost the school district $25,000.

It's set up and run by a bunch of Normies. So they give the route and dates so anyone can join. It's a true grassroots movement, which means it's just up to you if and when you want to join.

OPs doc said flu was hiding this year and to not worry about the flu shot.

You said that flu numbers were being counted as covid.

I was saying that you were making the same point that the doc did. The flu numbers were hiding in the covid numbers.

Andrew Jackson, founder of the modern democratic party is the one that ordered it.

In other words I'm not decided one way or the other on Q. There's a lot of Q comms stuff that gets talked about especially after Trump left the whitehouse that I just don't buy into.

But GA is dedicated to finding what's happening in the world so there's a lot more news stories, discussion of possible goings on just more more overall attempt to stay informed on goings on. I dont always agree with the interpretation of those facts but I appreciate that there's facts being collected and discussed.

PDW is more about the culture war. Lots of memes and personal squabbles. Not as dedicated to accurate facts.

Does that help?

Totally agree. I lurk here about as often as I do PDW even though I don't really believe the Q stuff because you all clearly care about facts and happenings way more than PDW and there are WAY fewer trolls here, like T_D used to be back in 2015.

True I don't. That was always my impression of them. Never was a metalhead, but my impression of the metalheads I knew was they liked how edgy the music and imagery was.

I'm probably totally off, it's just not part of my world. I do know they have been around a long time, always had violent and disturbing imagery.

The band IS called SLIPKNOT. As in the type of knot s noose is made from.

They are edge lords, from the 90s when that kind of stuff was way more edgy.

Honestly, you might have better luck linking to the published studies themselves, not websites summarizing the studies.

That'sthe photoshopped one. The original is here: https://leadstories.com/article-2524748-1A259CB300000578-329_640x428.jpg

It's still an inappropriate way to touch a woman that's not your wife/girlfriend. The woman in the photo is Amie Parnes. Here's a couple of articles from 2013 when the original photo was taken.

It's a photo shop of a photo shop. The original was not only a different woman, but Biden's hands were on her waist I believe.

It's the world's largest dam. It's a bug status symbol for them, and they put it up extremely quickly. Doing so devastated eco systems, destroyed thousands if years of history and displaced thousands.

If it's in fact on the verge of failing its not just a symbol of Chinese power waning, but it'll be a huge humanitarian disaster. China would be devastated in almost every way you can think of.

Maybe a bit like if Hoover Dam failed here, it's a high profile public work, that would be embarrassing, but fewer people would be killed with Hoover than with Three Gorges. Also the economic impact would be much smaller. Frankly, since Hoover is getting close to 100 years old, it wouldn't be as much of a loss of face.

The tug boats are there to guide the boat through to prevent this kind of stuff from happening. For it to collide with the tug implies a severe steering mishap. Kind of like a train going off the rails.

Right. I hate the false feeling that there's a division there. There shouldn't be. I think at Patriots.win the reaction against Q came from months of "Hold the Line" Trump wont let Biden tske power etc., so when Biden did come to power (whether its all for show or not) they decided that waiting around for someone else to save them is not a good plan.

I don't see Q peeps saying sit around and wait for Trump and the boys to save the day, they are saying we need to get out there, wake people up etc.

The hostility just comes from a misunderstanding and all the anxiety and misplaced hope leading to the inauguration.

They aren't as hostile to Q these days, but then there's much less mention of Q and the plan now too. You'll still find the occasional post about it there though.

Lets just go back to the articles of confederation then. That seems to be the direction you are heading in. Better yet, just break up the union, that'll help keep the malaise is the People Republic of California and the other coastal states from spreading.

In fact lets just dissolve government altogether. People can self organize into whatever groups they want, associate with whomever they want, whenever they want.

It'll be the ultimate in freedom!

The floors of house and the senate went from being where debate happened to where theater is performed. The decision making moved from in public in from of everyone to backroom deals. We, as the American public allowed this to happen.

As for the dementia meds, even that should be ok, as long as it can keep everything under control, but requires a populace to be engaged and watching. That's what Q is all about, MAGA represents the people that are waking up. The red pill really is a apt metaphor, as you come out of the matrix only to realize that things really are FUBAR.

No, tiktok isn't based but it's one of the few places that's not heavily censored. Also, it only allows short videos, so it's like Twitter when twitter was growing, but for vids.
