Remember how some guys hit the floor after that injection gun?
The MMR shot made everything turn dark and purple, and the sounds for very under- water like except I could hear a big fan on the far end of the gym like I was standing right next to it. Weird.
I recall some noise during the first gulf war and the nerve agent vaccine. Not sure if they kicked the troops that refused the vaccine out of theater or not. I know I definitely wouldn't want to leave my teammates to fight without me, probably would have taken it.
When we arrived in theater and were acclimating we received the cocktail. We were then issued Pyridostigmine Bromide tablets in a 21 pill blister pack and instructed to take one pill every eight hours for the week leading up to the minefield breach. No one was there to enforce it so the PB pills were simply thrown out.
I deployed a few times and all shots were mandatory for deployment. Supposedly the COVID vaccine it is voluntary right now for military members. Not sure if that will change or not.
Yeah, I had no choice when it was time to get anthrax vaccine in Kuwait. It does suck. But there's a lot of suck that soldiers put up with for the rest of us.
I wish they had a choice though. From a command perspective the concern is about battle readiness and they justify a lot under that logic.
They threaten to deploy us to force us to get it, if we refuse we can potentially get kicked out for being non deployable. It's not like this yet.. but it's coming

They used to do that in schools, too.

They didn't give a choice.

Getting deployed is safer...
You’re safer in Iraq than Chicago. Just sayin.

The deplorables become the deployables.
We just breaking sterile fields now? we can't even afford gloves?
In my day, being in CONUS was a dog and pony show 24/7. Being overseas was much better duty.
I’m still really bitter about Camp Pendleton. Ugh.
My son in law is an army captain. He told me today it is not mandatory and he has declined the vaccine for now.
This is horrible. I hope they are giving them placebos to look like they are complying.
