Glad to see 1,000 of them are in CA, which has the most nationwide by far.
There are not near enough in Minnesota, I'll tell you that.
Well, on the bright side: the numbers DO keep growing ;-)
St. Paul within a two-mile radius of the capitol building needs to go down a sinkhole. Ditto the UofM in Minneapolis.
1 indictment != 1 person, right?
1 indictment could be 1 person or 500 people
10 indictments could be on 1 person
All I know is that there are hella sealed indictments and they can only be sealed when the person(s) have overwhelming evidence of guilt AND are a greater risk if they know about the indictment.
This is a yuge number of sealed charges
All I know is that indictment numberfagging is yet another occupant of Schrödinger's box.
The only logical reason I can come up with to have thousands of sealed indictments is that...if unsealed...there currently are very few unbiased courts that wouldn't cut massive deals to these elite criminals or let off the hook entirely. So the indictments wait for a day when the military is running the courts and carry out justice swiftly. Well frens. Those days are overdue. We have seen the complete implosion of our justice system. Every branch has been corrupted. The time is now.
I do believe the time is very short. POTUS said the gas prices would skyrocket and Biden would be removed via the 25th, so that's sorta what I think might precede overt military action.
What is this?
Sealed indictments are still going up. DRASTICALLY up.
There are anons still watching these. I check it every day.
I believe they are new indictments . That's all I've got . Not much detail to be sure. I understand your confusion .
Can you just clarify as this is an area where US/UK use slightly different terminology.
Is a sealed indictment a charge sheet that has been approved for prosecution?
Has it then been served on the party to be prosecuted?
If the amount is growing by the month is this a backlog? Or are these complex cases ( like Maxwell) beyond shoplifting and minor felonies?
Yes - Huber was tasked with processing a lot of these. Grand juries and all. As to it being served - it is sealed and secret. It MAY have been served but this is actually how mob/mafia are brought down as well - it's processed without them knowing. Here's the definition:
To be clear, these are sealed CASES. We have a bit of backchannel info pointing to the fact that they are ALL likely indictments, but for now they are not categorized on purpose.
Not a backlog per se - again as Q indicated these things are going down in a bit of an avalanche by necessity. So it's a deliberate thing....adding more and more and more. There HAVE been times when a lot of them were unsealed and we'd see things in the news. Sex traffickers, academic scandals, etc.
There was a study done about a decade ago and in any given year we were averaging apx 1,000 sealed indictments nationwide. No doubt that number has increased to the same degree the US population has increased, but not anywhere near this number. There would have only been less than 10K piled up even if they had doubled in a decade.
They are undoubtedly significant cases, not trivial (like shoplifting).
More on "sealed" indictments:
Thank you Rubieroo, that’s a fantastic explanation.
One further question: If you were a known public figure ( OJ ) or ( Weinstein ) in the US system you can filter a jury to make it more favourable ( not doable in English System) you get your 12 and takes your chance.
If these sealed indictments were all public figures ( a local mayor , sports coach or celebrity) would the jury filtering have to take place or is this why the military tribunal system is being touted to bring swift justice? ( Asking for a Friend - Prince Andrew?)
Thanks!
No problemo!
Total cases, yes - by far. But CA has the most SEALED cases. CA 36,197 .......... Texas 21,413
Think of who is in that stack: Pelosi, Schiff, Newsom.....some of the most egregious criminals in US history.
Is there a corroborating source for this, aside from, uh... bad-boys.us?
BTW on this subject, who here saw the third Bad Boys movie? Was it any good? I liked the first two, but a cash-grab sequel after two decades? Color me skeptical, ya know?
If I remember correct it started with them driving through the city like mad, risking people’s life’s only to get to the hospital on time for a birth. After that I detested them and found it hard to root for them. I know leave your brain out of it, but still...
Pretty sure this is the best movie review ever
I concur.
Good review. Much appreciated.
And yeah. That might put me off of it, too. I’m a much more responsible driver now than I was 25 years ago.
Plus, I’m presuming there’s no 90s-era Tea Leoni in this movie, either. ?
BadBoys pulls from Pacer.gov. If you have an account with Pacer, go for it. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kVQwX9l9HJ5F76x05ic_YnU_Z5yiVS96LbzAOP66EzA/edit#gid=1295784036
If you liked the first two you'll love the third.
One case can include up to 99 people. Add RICO into this mix and I picture it branching out like the biggest fkn tree we've ever seen.
Simple math says up to nearly 24 MILLION perps in unsealed alone... :O
That imaginary line at the top, where everything ends, can they try going north, beyond it and adding a few from there?
Wtf, where is Nevada?
Trump arriving in Davos for the World Economic Forum on Jan. 25, 2018.
but until someone acts on them, they mean nothing
They're not meaningless - getting these through continuing grand juries when courts and jurists were locked down was probably pretty difficult. They're a step in the process.
