I'm sorry, I don't agree with this. I get there are some American rituals that involve the religious pretext (like swearing your oath on a bible as president, or swearing on the bible, and those are mostly ceremonial at this point. This is just a bit too far, and I am a religious pede. This is the rhetoric that had the conservative right demonized in the 90's and 2000's which led to the rise of the left and the demonization of the right.
Just like the church of the woke insanity, these sort actions only serve to further divide us by making the right look like a bunch of zealots. Your going to have "being white is racist" hammered on the buildings in lefty states in retaliation.
We should be trying to unite everybody together since the left is getting red-pilled, not use it as an opportunity to force ideas on people like the left has been doing for the last 13 years.
No retard, don't do it because that just further alienate folks on the other side and make that divide wider between us and the left.
This is the sort of shit that makes folks think the right is a bunch Bible thumping morons. More importantly, they will be less willing to hear you out on why they are being brainwashed and take those red pills.
If you can't see how this is just the right escalating shit I don't know what to say. None of this shit this country is going through will be solved if we can't talk to each other and be united.
seperation of church and state was a rejection of englands state/church combo. they made it that way so king henry 8th could persue his carnel desires.
pilgrams fled this church theology as the state dictated their religion.
seperation of church and state was gov not controlling worship style, location, populas.
never ment to keep church from state, but state from church.
The founders understood based on history the Henry the 8th that religion running the show reduces the amount of liberties free men could have. From the Bill of Rights:
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion.”
Regardless of the reason Henry did it, the founders knew from that example (and many like it) allowing law to infringe on one religion only to bolster another is recipe for disaster. Religion is part of politics, but not be hammered into our politics.
I need people to get this, in order to right this ship away from the dark age of communism, we need to unite. Yes with the left. They need to be red-pilled. However much like how woke mandates like "don't assume gender" or "white-is-racist" are the things we despise, the lefties that are willing to listen are going to be just as turned off by "In God We Trust" being applied to every government building.
Lets be clear, these people see woke ideology with religious zealotry. You want to fire them up more? Hammer this into every building. Its going to infuriate them.
Angry people do not listen to REASON. We may believe in that mantra, but forcing religion down throats is what 3rd world nations do.
Eyes on - I've been seeing many, many, many reports of incredible conservative actions State legislatures are taking. Great move, let's fire that 10th Amendment up and let the Fed's have it - if they can't get our conservative policies done on the Federal level, they are doing it for us in the States! God bless Oklahoma and all the States that are finding ways to do end runs around Vodka Nancy's crazy laws!
I agree. As a Muslim Trump-voting Patriot, we should let most Christian majority cities put In God We Trust signs. In the Muslim majority towns in Michigan and elsewhere, I’ve been contacting local officials about putting up in “In Allah We Trust.”
I'm an atheist. IMHO this is fine as long its what the people really want. My only problem with this is our inability to trust elections and thus we can't trust the leaders voting for this stuff are real. But if this is what the people of OK want then they should do it. And no in my opinion it doesn't violate the 1st amendment.
Lets be clear. GOD THE Father of our our Lord Jesus Christ is whom we trust.
I miss Oklahoma.
Isn't this the state that almost had to declare bankruptcy because they couldn't afford to keep their schools open?
I'm all for this, but that state is in dire straits and they don't seem to be doing anything but meaningless platitude legislation.
I am not sure what you're talking about. We are well funded in Oklahoma ....
Separation of church and state.

So don't do it because you're afraid of what the liberals might do? Sounds like a crazy reason.
Anything else. Especially not something that will make people ignore the redpill coming from good Christians.
This will do just that.

One more thing, of all the issues going on right now, is this what we need to spend valuable time and tax dollars on?
In Oklahoma, we've been open and in school - what would you like the people of Oklahoma to spend "our" tax dollars on?
Anything else. Especially not something that will make people ignore the redpill coming from good Christians.
This will do just that.
They didnt specify what god .you'll be ok.

Such things, while they seem small, are important in the culture theater of our fight. It is a small advance against cultural Marxism.
Praise God. All states should and must do this.

I see what you did there.
