With all due respect to RSBN, there are several other streaming services available now - Rumble, Brighteon, etc. If people would just use them and spread the word, they could become as big or bigger than youtube, and they don't censor. I am just having a hard time feeling sorry for people getting censored on youtube anymore when there are other alternatives they just don't use for whatever reason. And that's my 2 cents.
They said new platforms are in the works. Seems like they're trying.
Personally, one thing that's hard to make the switch permanent for video is the inability of smaller platforms to handle volume. I have tried bitchute and rumble and bitchute in particular takes generations to upload even a tiny file. Rumble I have less experience with, but I heard they've censored shit too now...
Bitchute takes forever to start the video loading as well and has trouble restarting from being paused.
The fact is that these Big Tech platforms are well built products that everyone latched onto becuase they work well. Now the left is using them for their corporate fascism which creates this problem for Americans. Some others will now have to step up. Big Tech products are no longer that good with all the censorship. They've become boring.
It is not hard to serve video, you don't need anything "well built" to do it. A $35.00 a month out of the box cloud server can server video to a small business all day long.
Scale is the problem. You need an ass load of server and bandwidth when millions of patriots are looking for the latest drops. The only thing that limits scale is money. They need money not a better product.
It'll be tough to compete with Youtube because the Cabal runs it at a loss, like it does pretty much all of its conquered IPs. It's true purpose is to gatekeep, and destroy competition by economy-of-scale.
odysee works even better then youtube imo and people still are not using it as much as they should
Yup rumble is starting to censor even comments
I agree with you on this. There are so many people out there who are supportive of these things but damn near everyone who is seems to be an absolute bumbling idiot in terms of figuring out alternatives. And as you've already pointed out, there ARE some alternatives available right now.....why the hell aren't more people and organizations using them?
Well I was informed by someone that they make thousands more per month with their videos on youtube vs. rumble. So I guess it's about money. No offense to anyone who does this, but if that's how one chooses to earn their living, one gets what one gets. I'm OK with having a regular job and not working for the devil. I don't make thousands per month. But I can say what's on my mind without someone threatening to take my income away. My boss knows I support Donald Trump, he knows I feel the election was stolen. I wear a TRUMP 2020 pin at work on my lanyard that has my keycard on it. Every day.
Of course we read stories of people who are being "canceled" out of regular jobs also because of their political views.
That's true. I guess I'm lucky that my boss isn't an asshole like that.
Because they're worse alternatives, not to mention the MONEY people make on Youtube. RSBN has been making serious cash in ad revenue, subscriptions and super-chat donations through Youtube. Not to mention the ease of use of the platform when you create content and upload it. It's easy and fast to upload, you can schedule uploads, you get all kinds of information about how your uploads are doing. Then there's the reality that so many people use this platform and Google is good at getting eyes to your videos.
So going to a new platform generally means NO money making ability, MUCH less people, a worse user experience (for the uploader and viewer) and MUCH worse marketing. Google is damn good at what they do, love them or hate them that is undeniable. It goes far beyond just needing a website to throw a video onto.
If the streaming services could get their platforms streaming to TV they would get more traffic. I don't watch videos on my computer. YT is built into my Tivo and makes it seamless. We have Klowd TV and have BitChute streaming too. Rumble doesn't work at all with their app on Klowd. The tech is going to have to catch up on the alternative platforms.
Valid argument - I'd be willing to bet if more people started using those alternative platforms, it would hasten the catching up of the tech. Just a theory, I'm definitely no expert.
Trump has Tivo. Its the bomb of DVRs! My TV is old and we pretty much won't replace it until it's dead. Tivo has been our workaround. And Klowd TV but it's more difficult to navigate.
It’s 2021 you stream anything to tv lol if you can’t time to buy a new tv

I kind of agree, I have looked for my favorites on Rumble and less than a couple handfuls out of hundreds are there. If they are there, I have found an issue that they don't post all their videos there. So when the videos they post on YouTube get deleted there is no way watch the deleted video because they didn't post it there. It is seriously frustrating. Here we are ready to move and will give them a platform, but they would rather whine and not do something about it.
Yeah they have an opportunity right now to become the new streaming service, but they need to recognize how way behind they are. Youtube got a major head start on them and became the "go-to" for everyone. Now they're a bunch of dictators, what is our alternative? If I were the owner of Rumble, I'd be working a lot harder right now.
