Regarding their stance on donations, one of my posts was a compilation of their first chat line, in which they asked their folks to not donate with superchat. This happened only once here.
It's very easy though to argue that they could have just been saying that to make themselves look good in the future, but then you'd have to forget that a chat log is only ever relevant for the live stream, and the live stream is just a slide-show running in the background. What I argue here is that they asked for no donations, realized quickly that people want to donate anyway (donors gonna donate), and so decided to just accept it from then on just to not have people bother them about having donation lines open.
Another argument I've raised somewhere is that the donation economy and merch demand will exist no matter what we or they say about the matter. So it would be better for them to take control of their segment of the economy rather than let unscrupulous dealers who would be guaranteed to be malicious to take advantage of their audience. Well, a counterargument to this of course is that they created that economy in the first place.
I just want to ask if it’s also disingenuous for Rudy Giuliani and X22 to have ads? I get the premise here is that George is ostensibly profiting off our desperation. But I am not making that connection so clearly.
They have said on several separate occasions that they don't need the money (donations, sales), but they DO appreciate the publicity of getting their name out there when people are wearing their shirts, etc. If they're legit and trying to redpill people, among their other functions, this is actually not a bad idea. Their main website, george.news, aggregates solid content that gets a lot of info out but doesn't scream "Q!!" at people. It's actually a pretty good place for normies to start, and I feel comfortable sending people there who I'm trying to wake up. It's professional, informative, and shares the info w/o being unnecessarily controversial. It's just accurate news. Dig a little deeper, and they can easily wander from there into info that's specifically Q-labeled, etc.
