The George News people went ape shit when George was proven a larp. Evspra investigated them and posted his findings. He said links would be removed of any George posts here. People went ape shit and trashed him to the point he left. He did not say you could not discuss George here or get banned. The George crew refused to understand what was going on and went on a feral hunt enough so it made him delete his account.
Evspra’s best piece of evidence was that one video GN posted was also elsewhere, and yet had no analysis that attempted to find a connection between the two. Instead, they opted for censorship, banning sprees, and flaming. Classic Reddit-style mod. Gtfo Evspra.
I guess them banning people that brought it up doesn't factor in at all huh?
Sure it does. Ever consider the possibility that the connection may risk George’s safety by doxing them? I’d be quick to ban if that were the case too
... They are at risk of being doxxed by having a "connection" with a website that posts public domain videos?
Please explain to me how that makes any sense whatsoever
Also calling simply appropriating videos posted by someone else a "connection" is a bit of a stretch to me.
?
Been a member of forums since the late 90s and this happens all the time (or did back then). He had valid points. I think there may have been valid counter points tho. I think we and he should be able to agree to disagree. I didn't agree with his assessment, but that didn't mean I thought he was a poor mod. He felt deeply that his conclusion was correct (moreso than mine, I'll admit).
Maybe a better idea would have been to add a disclaimer to any George links (which could easily be done with CSS) that it's believed to be a larp by some... but, there's a LOT of larp-level material here that gets posted (links to sketchy news sites, people with unknown affiliations, etc), so where is the line and limit? That's the issue with social media now – they're determining for everyone else what's right/wrong/true/false. I know this wasn't the heart, but maybe how some felt. I just saw it as the typical forum drama and personally wish he would have stayed the course and didn't delete the account.
They proven it themselves when they started banning people that brought it up
So let me get this straight, it was found that they were simply reposting videos, without giving credit, with a hastened watermark put in as if it was theirs
People started simply questioning about this, and were banned immediately for it, and in your nanoscopic mind, that means nothing at all?
