This is a UVB correction, maybe just a UVA blacklight (for use in iPhone resin glue repairs).
UVB, according to the CDC, can sterilize any surface in less than 30 seconds. That's far better than any mask, which only captures at best or just allows the passage of pathogens.
With this, the tables have turned. I can go into any store, without a mask, and blame others for killing grandma!
And if they have a problem with it, there is a STROBE function! I can turn it on and say "You want me to turn it off, I want it on. With the strobe, it is on 50% of the time and off 50% of the time. This is called a compromise."
Meanwhile they now have to deal with a flashing strobe giving them conniptions!
At the very least, I want to show the hypocrisy of these people on a power trip using these masks. Now I can power trip on them, and they can see how it feels!
Imma burn some vampires!
Edit: It might not put out much UVB at all. Gonna have to test it on a banana.
So far, it is possible my UV light isn't what was advertised... I need to test and see if it puts out anything other than UVA.
Either way, I didn't get the thing because it worked super well as a germicidal, I got it to screw with Faucists. Even if it doesn't do as advertised, it does a hell of a lot more than a mask would to kill pathogens, that's for sure.
UVB in isolation for long durations may eventually be an issue for some yes, that's how the whole MUH SUN CAUSES CANCER meme started with stupid studies using artificial UVB light.
If you're smart, you'll limit your duration exposure say 15-20 min per day, and you'll include red light as well at the very least.
For myself as soon as the lockdown crap started 1 year ago I got the ExoTerra reptile UVB bulbs and leveraged that along with red+infrared for indoors. ALso MINIMIZE back lit blue light LED, for other reaons related to susceptibility to viral infections.
But also prioritizing full spectrum sunlight outdoors (sunbathing, no glasses, minimal clothes) as mcuh as I could.
UVA has benefits as well, it produces nitric oxide in the skin and that also boosts innate immunity. You can get more UVA starting mid morning depending on your latitude this time of year.
Sunscreen and my prescription glasses are transition lenses.
If I can turn my discomfort into a red-pill for these Karens going full Faucist on me by turning the table and blaming them for killing grandma for not using UVB lights to KILL the virus, then I'm gonna do it.
At the very least, it will help with my vitamin D deficiency.
I used to burn in about 10 minutes, blister in 15. Now I can go out all I want, I forgot and was out 4 hours and didn't turn red or feel any discomfort at all. I started taking Astaxanthin, its the stuff that make flamingos pink.
Yes it does, what gets me is the deep state trying to make us afraid of the planet we were made for. Skin cancer would have wiped the entire population of coastal cities by now due to sun bathers. Skin cancer is caused by our toxic environment.
That's most godawful website layout I've seen this year. How do you find any information? And when you finally stumble across "toothpaste", guess what they DON'T tell you to avoid?
Yeah, the tan actually happens AFTER your body has a chance to repair the damage and automatically reinforces your skin with melanin to prevent future damage.
To clarify, this is a head-harness for my hat. It sits on my head and aims in front of my face. Any aerosol that comes in range of my mouth is vaporized by the power of sunlight.

Edit2: It looks like my light is just a UVA blacklight. That sucks, but this study does suggest UVA does work to sterilize. Many other studies suggest differently, so I'm a little curious as to the real effects of the UVA light. https://www.researchgate.net/publication/321903461_Effects_of_ultraviolet_light-emitting_diodes_UVA-LEDs_irradiation_on_Escherichia_coli_for_inactivation_of_microorganisms
God fucking speed, patriot.
i get it. kinda cool. but commando is the way to go for me. i do dig the ingenuity though. keep up the fight!
The only grocers near my home is Kroger's
They have a mask mandate on top of my State's mandate.
I'm taking back the power of the people, one burnt cornea at a time!
go get em tiger! you have my support 100%
You know UVB is implicated in skin cancer right?
Yeah.
I'm doing my research before I use the thing.

Power ON, sleepydude! You truly are taking light vs. dark to the next level.

You are have fun with the situation and I like it.

Tally ho!
Many studies NOT funded by big pharma show that sunscreen is more likely to cause cancer than the sun. Toxic ingredients absorb into the skin.
There are safe ones like Badger, but they are the thick goopy ones with titanium dioxide.
Just sayin...

I know about Astaxanthan but didn't realize it would help prevent burns. Makes sense, though. Thanks.

Retin A
Er...what?
The chemical that is known to cause skin cancer found in products intended to prevent skin cancer: Retin-A
Ah. That is one of many, then.
I found a great resource for researching either a product or a specific ingredient:
CosmeticDatabase.org
It will give you a safety rating in each area of potential harm (respiratory, endocrine, neurological, etc.)

Go on, guess...
Begins with flu.....
Dude im keking my mind over here. So based!
Yeah, the tan actually happens AFTER your body has a chance to repair the damage and automatically reinforces your skin with melanin to prevent future damage.
It's worth mentioning, any surface blasted with this actually gets warmer, even at several feet away.
That's how you know it is working ;D
huh?
Ready my comment.
