I'm in a "blue" area too (in quotes, I'd wager it's more red if the elections were fair), and I've noticed among coworkers and "soft" Democrats that they're starting to question things or poke fun at the Democrat party. Throughout the past year, businesses that were Democrat have definitely become Republican, many in my area have certainly.

The perception that there is a shortage increases the demand. Think back on toilet paper. So, fake a shortage so that more people will take the experimental biological agent without thinking about things like antibody dependent enhancement.

About an hour ago, I talked to 2 guys driving from Michigan to Philadelphia just to get the vaccine. They were both in the late 20’s - early 30’s age range. At that age, you’re probably the healthiest you’re ever gonna be. When I was their age, I was only worried about driving to Tijuana and whether or not I’d end up in a Mexican prison.
In ‘89 I was a kid, scared out of my mind watching people shit in the streets of TJ. I also felt bad for the donkey spray painted to look like a zebra haha.

Anyway, he just had his first dose of the covid vax - against his family's wishes. (They were petrified.) His reasoning was that he needed the vax certificate in order to travel.
