Honestly they're just risking a lawsuit by doing so, any brand would sue a show for defamation over something like this. I'm surprised they didn't... perhaps it's because a lawsuit draws attention.
Also the portion of this lot of the port of Los Angeles where this was filmed (in the show it takes place is Miami) is usually empty, so they would've brought-in and positioned the containers for filming. So the container placement was intentional, including the Evergreen one.
The other container that displays a logo in view is a "Nedlloyd" container. Unsure if there is anything relevant about that company but figured I'd mention it.
Dexter is based off a book titled "Darkly Dreaming Dexter". The first season (this scene is in the finale of the first season) is based directly off the book. Does anyone know if the book describes an Evergreen container specifically as well?
don't recall the books specifying company names on any of the shipping containers. Been recently reading them, just mentions "shipping container" or "refrigerated shipping container"
container names were added in the show, its rare to see an author specifically name companies or brand names in their books. They tend to avoid it, unless absolutely neccerssary. As I believe they need to ask permission.
It does not. I have the first 5 Dexter books as ebooks, grepped through them all and found no mention of Evergreen. Just one bit in the first book that mentions shipping containers but not any specific branding. Also, I stopped reading them because the books went completely off the rails and just got ridiculous. Started off pretty good, though.
That is something for sure..they didnt have to use an Evergreen container, most of the containers have no name on them.

I read that last part in a Vulcan voice. I’ve been watching a lot of Star Trek..
Watching a lot of The Office recently... There's quite a following with "theory" regarding the "true scranton strangler" and it's "connection(s)" to show's like Dexter. https://screenrant.com/dexter-office-easter-egg-sabre-printer-explained/
They're not wrong.

I googled the numbers on the Evergreen container and it led me to a 2019 forum talking about it and Q.

Ah, cool. Thanks for checking :)
I decided to Google the numbers on the Evergreen container and it led me to an older forum talking about this and Q in 2019. Just made a post on it.
