I discovered it by googling "when did the Berenstein Bears change their name" after looking up some pictures to show people, but finding none of the pictures were spelled correctly.
I had my mom dig out all my old books and they were all misspelled too. That really threw me for a loop.
I think if I had heard about the Mandela effect before experiencing it I'd laugh it off. I have no memories of Sinbad being in that movie, and there's a good reason for it to be Looney Tunes rather than Toons. (other shows in the series were Merrie Melodies, and Silly Symphonies... The original cartoons were pretty much music videos for various pieces of music)
So, to me there's no rational way for you to be correct. But... My old books seem to have changed, and I'm pretty sure I'm not misremembering, so at this point... Who knows..
The one that really throws me off is “the lion lays down with the lamb” quote from The Bible. That’s what most people recall, but it says “the wolf...and the lamb” (now?). I never remembered THAT!!!
That's because you heard it misquoted so much. My dad has taught a sunday school lesson on why it makes sense for it to be the wolf and the lamb and how everyone wrongly believes it to be the lion. The meanings are completely different because the lion would symbolize Christ but this passage is talking about the predators finally coming to peace with their prey, as it was in the Garden of Eden.
I wish I could explain the sermon in more detail, but my dad has taught it for over 20 years. He's always gotten a kick out of correcting people on that verse for as long as I can remember.
You know the wierd thing is? I remember hearing he died around Dec 2020. But now when I check it looks like he is still alive! Mandela effect ?
