An 83-year-old vaccinated retiree, who resides in Ile-de-France, has filed an appeal with the Council of State to request the lifting of containment for those vaccinated. The government opposes this in a brief that Europe1 was able to consult, citing the "partial effectiveness" of the vaccine and "effectiveness that has become particularly contingent with the arrival of new variants". The hearing takes place at 9 a.m. on Tuesday.

"Vaccinated people are also those most at risk of severe disease and death due to initial ineffectiveness or post vaccination re-infection or variant virulence
Finally, "the vaccine does not prevent transmission of the virus to third parties. The impact of vaccination on the spread of the virus is not yet known."
Jeaneatte Young, Queensland Health Minister said in a press conference that "we know that older people are vulnerable to getting ill and dying from this vaccine".
Older people are vulnerable to getting sick and dying generally. The immune system runs down over time, along with the rest of the body. Even still, those over 70 still have a 95% chance of recovery if they contract the virus. I understand that the fear propaganda has overwhelmed people's rational minds, but if we're following the science, what have we to fear, really?
Funny that, a year later, they're finally saying what I and a very few others were screaming on Twatter about it and everything surrounding it. Everything we were trying to get people to listen to, is now being slowly said by "officials" around the world.
