This is sick, how does anyone who isn't raised in a Christian environment ever turn out normal. I don't remember seeing this episode and am thankful I don't.
God save the souls of the unknowing children.
Being Christian and (or) with a strong family strengthens your mental and spiritual immune system, but even non-Christians have an innate resistance. Distance from large public school districts is almost certainly correlated. Source: I was raised non-Christian.
Thanks, fren. This is a good community. I was a latchkey kid with divorced parents. Dad was an atheist, mom ... eclectic, non-denominational, but morally upright and spiritual. But both had PhDs (eventually; took my mom longer) and both were intellectually fearless. My dad trashed the global warming narrative using pure science back in the 90s, my mom railed against the social traps of welfare and tribalism. Both told me to be skeptical of teachers. I was in a few morally precarious situations, including one like Gary Coleman's character in that episode, but escaped with no consequences. As a kid I was mystified by people who went to church, I had no clue what it was for. Divine provenance stepped into my life later, and I've been on the straight and narrow ever since. God is great.
The pedo gets busted, so its a story with a moral. The laugh track is the sick part. Definitely not written or produced by pedophiles cuz it reveals all their grooming techniques. Wouldn't see the light of day today. The story would have to be pro-pedo.
This is from a Season 5 or 6 episode of "Diff'rent Strokes", starring Gary Coleman as ARNOLD DRUMMOND, NOT Webster. And this is one of two episodes dedicated to "The Bicycle man", it was Arnold's birthday.

You must have had good parents teaching you right from wrong; good vs evil. I am happy to have you as a fren.

If I'm not mistaken the girl ended up working in the porn industry!

That's Arnold (Gary Coleman), not Webster.

Sorry... i must be a bigot... lol
Just from recollection, I think it was Dudley that that Gordon Jump tried to jump on.
That was back when pedos were known demons, not celebrated celebrities.
Back when we could learns stuff from TV, like never hide in refrigerators.
They were both lured. Dudley stayed but Arnold had enough sense to leave and lead the cops to get the guy.
Diffr'ent Strokes, actually. And yes, I remember. Loved that show as a kid. Haven't seen an episode in decades. I wonder what I would think now.
Who knew Mr Carlson from wkrp was a pedo? Webster?!? Dayum!
member when we were going to stop posting YT links because those same pedos? yea.
I remember this episode, this one really stuck with me.
OK... sorry.. That ain Webster... lol
