Our daughter is diabetic, I’m arguing that she needs the right to take off her mask with her 504 under the ADA. I’m armed with .gov studies on low oxygen and diabetes. (Affects eye pressure and muscle strength and insulin resistance) If they give me any trouble Imma lawyer up!
I mean try to get a doctors note, tell the doctor your boy is having trouble breathing, may lead to more bs. Honestly, the way I would do it is just pull them from the school and start a group against masks. Sorry not great ideas but its what I would do.
He is 16 and I still want him to have that school experience I did. Driving to school hanging out with friends. I got him a 1982 chevy custom deluxe step side truck lifted of course.
It is not possible for him to have the experience you did because the schools today are a wholly different reality/experience than what they were like in your day.
And maybe the best experience you can give him now is helping him understand exactly what is happening now and why/how it is a violation of our God-given rights AND a violation of the Constitution. Then maybe he would choose to stand up and be a role model for other kids by refusing a mask. And you would be a model for the other parents, many of whom I suspect do not support the BS mask mandates for their own kids.
Do your research and arm yourself with facts and data that shows masks are harmful and dangerous. Ask them if they are willing to sign a liability contract in case your child (or ANY of their students) suffer an adverse reaction.
Most life insurance companies will NOT pay out if someone dies from the covid vax, bc the new vax are not properly safety tested. Similar principle here. Put the liability on the school for violating Constitutional rights.
I would have my child comply with school rules and wear a mask.
His mask would be modified so it's only one thin layer of fabric at the !pity and nose area. Then I would scrub that fabric so that it's incredibly thin and very easy to breathe.
Technically, he's wearing a mask. In reality, it's a thin barrier like breathing through loose cotton gauze.
There are so many levels to look at this.
My child is homeschooled so I am somewhat removed from this situation.
That being said, I do not blindly submit to any authority, which imposes by force or by sanction, unjust, endangering or unethical behavior.
Wearing a mask for extended periods, especially for younger people, is all three.
Science shows it can deprive oxygen, cause infection and has negative psychological effects.
If my child were enrolled in such a school I would accompany them to the school with scientific documentation of the issues and a public letter addressed to specific school officials that if they force my child to wear a mask and ANY injury is incurred, the school district as well as the officials personally would be held responsible.
And if the school says no, then my child doesn’t go.
But that’s me.
Rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. The school experience you and I had is an era gone by.
Do they still “cruise” in your town?
Drive into to town and hang out in parking lots and just enjoy everyone’s company.
Have a fist fight and that’s the end of it?
I’d hate to say this, but he’d probably be bullied for being different. If you can’t homeschool or find a school (private/religious) that’s not forcing masks, then you’re going to have a conversation about how foolish adults can be when they’re afraid.
If that's true then why not have him rally as many people as possible to just rebel and take them off? Get an entire class to ditch the masks and the sentiment will spread like a viru.... Uh, wildfire.
Homeschool the child if you can.

Good luck!
Keep your kids home.

He wouldnt be bullied. He is kinda of rock star. Not just me being a proud dad.

THIS IS WHAT WE NEED RIGHT HERE!^^
This!
Convincing his doctor about the risks involved in wearing a mask all day far outweighs the risk of transmitting anything.
Maybe religious exemption
I like it! What are you thinking? Has anyone done this?
I like it. Anybody else done this?
