They start in the pubs, then they take them in the streets, lastly they'll go into your homes. You give a mouse a Cookie he'll want a glass of milk you give the devil an inch and he'll take a mile
Australia has had mandatory check-ins for entering hospitality venues for about a year now under the guise of "contact tracing". Businesses are fined for non compliance.
It started as a hand written ledger at the front door. Full name, email, address, everything. Compliance was poor and hand written ledgers were not reliable. They escalated to electronic format via QR code. Each business subscribed to one of several services provided out in the market. Compliance was shit and staff rarely check your phone. You can also insert false information. Or just take screen capture of a past sign in and show it to them. Nobody ever takes your phone and does an audit. They are just staff that want your business after all, not the Gestapo.
Now the government wants to escalate to a government made app and centralized database based on a QR code system due to compliance problems. All mandatory of course just as before. Will be rolled out over the next few months and will impact more types of businesses.
How long before an armed guard at every door? or a police officer? Gestapo 2.0?
This happened to me at my bank in the deep red south, believe it or not. When things opened up for the first time after the shut down, I went inside and was greeted by a woman who told me I had to sign in (to stand in line to talk to someone!!). There were like 3 people in there. I was confused and started writing my name, and then they wanted address, phone, email, etc. I stopped and said what is this for, exactly? She said “it’s for Covid contact tracing. It’s a requirement.” I said “no thanks, I don’t want to be traced.” And scratched out my name and left. Pretty pissed off, I might add, that I can’t talk to anyone in the bank that holds my cash without being added to some tracking list. A lot of brain dead sheep around these parts sadly.
Ugh. Awful. Sounds like the makings of a resistance movement. Redefining what it means to provide and receive vital services. Itinerant medical care and black market commerce. Until then, if it's just on paper and you can get away with simply lying, that's the way to go.
And whilst we're diverted into arguing about civil liberties, yet another day goes by without discussion that the 'virus', such as it ever was, is dead in the water. They really are trying to just milk all the extra time out of this that they can. It smacks of either uncoordinated desperation, or a desperate race to a finish line.

I'm perfectly fine with serfs suffering this kind of shit.

There's a competition going on for most cuked humans on earth and the Brits are strong contenders
Good times create weak men, and Britain hasn’t been successfully invaded in nearly 1000 years, so I’d say they’re really going for the gold, here.

Brits need to rip a page from America's book and begin a revolution.
They had mandatory check ins back in august but my phone is so old it couldn’t cope with the app.
Welp , looks like im not goin out to drink any time soon.
The law is that publicans can refuse to serve anyone and don't have to give a reason why.
Shepheard Neame and Youngs of Wandsworth has said they will ignore this, how many other breweries will follow suit?
Lots more I hope, but Wetherspoons won't IMO.
