Agree/ great post OP. Sometimes 'out of nowhere' seemingly... comes strength...
2nd Corinthians 12:10 is also great
That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.*
Ps. 22 is the scripture He is quoting here, and it ends on a triumphant note: One could even say the end could be translated, "He has done it" or "It is finished!"
Reading Matthew 27 alongside Ps. 22 will give you the full impact of what is there.
You're welcome! I actually got the connection vaguely first, then read an article by a Reformed writer later. (Unfortunately, I don't recall the name of author.)
I believe this was written before the episode with Bathsheva, simply on the grounds of where this psalm and the one written after David's sin (Psalm 51) are located in the Hebrew Scripture. The tone of Ps. 22 is one of expectation of vindication, the tone of Ps. 51 is God's righteousness vs. David's unrighteousness. I would be so bold as to say that Ps. 22 is prophetic, and refers to Jesus as the Son of David.
We have to realize it isn't about any certain person at any given time. He loves us all the same and moves in ways we can't imagine. All this stuff that's going on, He sees it and because we can't, it doesn't mean nothing is happening. We are self-centered, by nature. We must pour ourselves into Him, for He is the answer. Only trust Him.
I stopped caring about myself, grew numb to the pain. I wouldn't be caring nearly as much if all casualties happened to frighters for freedom, even if I was among them (we're fighting the good fight). I fear for the innocent, those who haven't heard of the truth, those who are suffering whithout having done anything bad.
I boil with hatred with the gloating of the left, the power trip of the elits, actually thinking of themselves as gods, as even God for all that can be empirically seen wouldn't mess with them.
I pray, with all the little faith I got left, for something to happen. For the internet to shut down, for the fight to leave the shadows and be thrusted into the light for everyone to see even if they don't want to.
I pray for the storm to hit the cabal. I fear not those who can kill the body, but He who kills body and soul in hell. I completely stopped caring about what happens to me, as long as it is helpful to further God's cause, so be it.
As long as commies and DS suffer, the deadliest storm is to me but a soft breeze.
Thank you...you have touched many with your wisdom...God loves a pure soul...I have given many messages in my life .. today I received one.
Blessings fren....
God only asks for Faith, Prayer and Patience right now. I believe your message provides the assurance that He is always there for us even if many think He has forsaken them..
I could feel this study pierce my heart. The Sword of the Word, the Holy Spirit, is in those words. Romans 8:18 stands as one of my favorite of verses, the Holy Ghost reminds me of it often through life and through His children such as your. Thank you for this stunning reminder. God bless you in Jesus name, sibling. Amen
This is absolutely beautiful - thank you ! Now I have to find a way to copy and send out to my loved ones. God Bless You today and always ?

Mentioned ^ .. BEST scripture you need to read when feeling down IMHO:
'My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?'" (Matthew 27:46).
Christ himself did it. It happened to the best (ever) human.

Totally agree ^
Psalms is great here. David (writer of Psalms 22) had sinned BIG against God. He knew of what he wrote...

This is a tough way to live, but understand. King Solomon in Proverbs had good advice IMHO:
Do not say, “I will repay evil”....... wait [and pray] for the Lord, and he will deliver ...
Proverbs 20:22
Thank you I needed this
